Whenever Violet fought, her heart was heavy. Heavier than her fists, heavier than the blows and wounds she sustained. She despised fighting, and everything about it.

The ringing in her ears, the blood in her spit, the feelings of her fists as they smash against flesh. It was disgusting, and if she could, she would give it up in a heartbeat.

Even now, as she fought her biggest enemy, the one behind it all, The Deathbringer, she held a heavy heart.
