I’m glad there’s people in this rpc - anyways, I’ll be on tomorrow and doing starters, i was just setting up today, tomorrow pages and then actual starters, i have school though i’m skipping ASL because we’re doing projects and mine ins’t due until thursday! it’s 4:21 am so ur local gremlin stain™ will be off.

first order of business: Headcanon #1

Kevin is Hard of hearing in his right ear, hearing loss runs in his family though, he was born with his right ear not being able to hear as strongly as his left, He does have a hearing aid he’s got when he was younger, though due to the activities he partakes in he ended up breaking it and not getting a new one until several years later, this doesn’t have a major impact on his life, however, he was able to do his school work just fine, play football and other sports. though for a moment he attended a deaf school, he disliked it as he felt extremely out of place and his parents eventually moved him to a streamlined school! 

Kevin does in fact know ASL, as well as Spanish, and english, though he’s most fluent in English and ASL, as those are the two languages he grew up on both in his house and with friends he met during his brief time at the Deaf school. Spanish was pretty easy for him to pick up on as well, the sentence structure is nearly identical to that of ASL and the accents were easy for him to replicate, though he’s not as confident in this language, as he is to others. he will still speak it at times if only to impress others. 

his new hearing aid is a matte black ITE hearing aid, somewhat like this model and he wears it more often than not, without it he isn’t able to hear completely though his right ear, though usually he gets around this by standing on the other side of the person talking, or reading their lips as a way to fill in anything he might’ve missed!
