Anon has always had the fear of something hiding under the bed, even as an adult. They're curious how common this is.

My one nitpick of narcos is that it takes place between 1975ish and 1998, but they gave everybody these fuck ass 2018 hairstyles that are really noticeable especially if you’ve like, watched any films or have seen pictures of people from within that time period. It’s especially bad with the female characters (Enedina notwithstanding, they have her a 1940’s vibe for some reason man idk) who all have this beachy/tousled wave epidemic going on that was very much NOT the move for anyone anywhere in the 80’s. I’m pretty sure I literally had Mimi’s exact haircut in 2017. That is not a good thing. And I’m just utterly perplexed by the decision here because the 80’s was literally the hair decade. You can’t just set something in the era of peak Lady Di, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Jane Fonda, Cher, freaking Selena, and make everyone (who are all supposed to be nouveau riche btw) except the senior citizens look like they’re on Love Island. Did the budget not account for hairspray? It surely was not going to the CGI…

when I lived in Florida we had an “arctic blast” where the lowest temperature during the day was slated for 42° and the schools mandated that we all wore a jacket for the whole week. I don’t know WHAT was in that Florida 42°, because I live in Arizona now and 42° has never felt as fucking cold as that did. I was wearing a down jacket for that arctic blast and now I don’t even own one.
#60° in florida felt like the surface of neptune#meanwhile I have to wear fucking wicking material if it’s above 50° here. I was DYING in 49° weather last semester

I am the first soldier on the front lines of the “narcos is a period piece whose primary purpose is to commentate on events and people rather than document them with any historical responsibility” argument (it’s not an argument by the way I’m right), but I saw a rumor that the scene where Amado kills Aguilar was extrapolated from an allegedly real occurrence, wherein Aguilar slapped Amado in the face during an argument and let me tell you. I would have paid real dollars to see them put that to screen.
#unfortunately as we know the writers were allergic to doing anything interesting with amado in season 3#I would have clapped 🤷♀️#narcos mexico

As someone who's been a lover of traditional folk music from the British Isles for several decades, one thing I've learned is that "True Love" didn't always mean what you think it means. In the older songs, "true love" is not some mystical quality, some type of connection that is magically better than other Loves. No. A love that is "true" merely means that your Love is "true TO YOU." "True" as in faithful and loyal and trustworthy. A lover who will stand by you and with you no matter what comes. True the way a good sword is True. True the way a good knight is loyal. The contrast is "False Love," which is a lover who betrays you, who cannot be trusted.
"True Love" isn't something you find, it's a vow and a choice that you make, every day, to BE TRUE.

"How do you write such realistic dialogue-" I TALK TO MYSELF. I TALK TO MYSELF AND I PRETEND I AM THE ONE SAYING THE LINE. LIKE SANITY IS SLOWLY SLIPPING FROM BETWEEN MY FINGERS WITH EVERY MEASLY WORD THEY TYPE OUT. THAT IS HOW.
