While we work the data mines
Someone finer
And diviner
Just sent in
A clementine.

Excussse us… have you ever heard of the blunthead slug snake (Aplopeltura boa)? This nocturnal reptile, which can reach lengths of up to 33 in (85 cm), primarily feeds on slugs and snails. Unlike many other snakes, this species eats using a technique called mandibular sawing: To slice off the indigestible parts of prey, the blunthead slug snake slides its jaws back and forth like a saw! It can be found in parts of Southeast Asia including Thailand, Sumatra, and Java.

You ever hear that old chestnut about how most people neglect the part of the story of Icarus where he also had to avoid flying too low, lest the spray of the sea soak his feathers and cause him to fall and drown? You ever think about how different the world would be if Icarus died that way instead? If the idiom was to Fly To Close To The Sea? A warning against playing it far too safe, about not stretching your wings and soaring properly? You ever think about how Icarus died because he was happy?

So I recently wrote a fic with some ambitious headcanons about the Data Pushers in the Encom System. Basically I speculated, what if they are the Encom equivalent of the ISOs? And I also gleefully yoinked @coupleofdays idea that the more non-humanoid Data Pushers are equivalent to the Automata from Tron: Identity-- the faction of ISOs who don't bother to look like Users at all.
I ended up making Bead Curtain lady the Encom version of Sierra-- the Automata who takes mostly-humanoid form when spending time in places where that's the custom.
(I named her Vale-- originally in homage to Sierra, because a sierra is a mountain and a vale is a valley -- but her veil-like curtain provided an additional layer to that wordplay and you know how much I like things to have layers.)
Anyway, she wasn't a main fixture of the story, but I implied that she does have a "true form" that isn't humanoid, and she'll share it in private with people she trusts.
I'm picturing her true form as some big floating ethereal jellyfish, the curtain transformed into a drifting veil of tendrils that move like they're underwater, shifting lazily through a delicate spectrum of pastels.
She gives great hugs.
Maybe I'll draw her.

Looking into my TRON Art folder. And found my first Tron fanart.
I drew this after I saw Tron:Legacy twice in theater.
At that time, I couldn’t understand CLU’s betrayal.
The story missed a big part that CLU doesn’t know that Flynn couldn’t stay in the Grid for long time because Flynn has tough time during that time. : (
And I really wanna see when they were happy and excited to build a new Grid.
I hope we will see more character development in the next movie!
