Everyone else: *RPs with beautiful words. So poetic and shit. Just puts me in a state of constant awe and admiration.*
Me: My character did the thing and the thing with the thing. *insert stupid pun about stuff here.*

Whiskey In The Jar
Red was glad to be off the boat, even if only for the night. A barstool was more her niche than a forecastle.
She sat at the bar and ordered a drink. Waiting, she stretched her legs out in front of her an took in the other patrons and their activities. One who she'd sat near without half realizing caught her eye.
"Hello," she greeted. He was young, maybe around her age, maybe a little older.

"You're welcome." Ruby said, still smiling, watching the boy. "It's nice to meet you, Henry. I'm Ruby Lucas, and sure, as long as you don't mind." Definitely still Henry. He might have forgotten a lot, but he'd retained his general personality, it seemed. And his love for sweets, which was nice.

Henry smiled, eyeing the basket with glee. He looked up at the woman. “W-wow, thank you!” he exclaimed, taking the basket and setting it on the counter. “Um, I’m Henry. Henry Swan. Would you like to come in…?” he asked.

No, no, no. Why?
Someone was there. She didn't recognize the voice that called to her, so Red had few other choices. She summoned the will, and lifted her head in the direction she imagined the voice had come from.
The woman who stood there was so white, for a second, Red disregarded her as a well-placed pile of snow. She blinked, eyes going back to the platinum-haired girl. No, she was real.
As real as the ice that everything seems to be made of. Red realized with a start. She wasn't all that cold, though there was a probability that that had something to do with a certain furry little problem. Regardless, she gae it no thought.
Of all things Red felt, panic was the most abundant. She stiffened, shaking slightly, and resisting the urge to scratch the dried blood off of her face. She'd quite forgotten it was there.
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to - I shouldn't be here. I was looking to be alone." She managed, after what had probably been too long. The other couldn't know what she was, what she'd done. At least, so she hoped, as she tried to rise. She failed, slipping into another step in a way that at most other times would have been considered amusing.
Seeking Ice-olation
     It was perfect.
A young, paled blonde stood within a frigid high-ceilinged room made of ice. The walls hummed in soft hues of blue, purple, pink, and orange, reflecting the rising sun, shining gently against long, ballroom length floors. There was no furniture, unless the ornate water fountain sculpture and chandelier counted as such, and they sat sparkling in the bright light.
All Elsa could do was stare at what she’d done, revel in it. What she’d allowed herself to do. What her powers could do when she was actually… rightfully… free. There was so much in her – so much potential – so much strength – so much… much…
   What was that?
A sound seemed to be coming from… outside.
Her first thought was Anna, and her first reaction to that was fear. What if it was too cold inside for her? What something broke, and it hurt her?
What if this time, the ice she threw back to protect herself found a home in Anna’s heart?
Carefully, Elsa made her way to the front door, opening it slightly, just enough to glance at the sobbing – sobbing? – figure in the way.
Dark hair immediately alerted Elsa to the other not being Anna. But it didn’t mean that Anna wasn’t with this other person, perhaps, so, carefully, Elsa opened the door and walked towards the top of the staircase, looking at the figure huddled at the bottom of it. Outside her new home, she felt so… unprotected.
   “Hello?”

Ruby waited at the door, basket of baked goods in hand. When the door opened, she smiled.
"Hey, there. I heard that we had visitors in the neighborhood, and I thought I'd welcome you with a little something from the diner."
He'd grown. His voice was lower. Still, he was Henry. She could almost pretend things were normal.

Honey-colored eyes focused on the large TV screen in front of them as a pair of thumbs tapped noisily on the game controller in hand. Henry licked his lips free of any salt that had clung to them from the chips and carefully, he reached out and grabbed his glass of pop, bringing it to his lips and taking a small sip. “Level 24…” he found himself muttering. “Come on, come on…”
Three sharp raps at the door made him frown in confusion and press ‘pause’.
Henry got up from the couch, wiping his lounge pants off from any crumbs and walked around to the apartment door.
He turned the knob and opened it.
"….can I help you?"

Seeking Ice-olation
She'd killed them...
A female figure could be seen now and again, darting between trees. The girl didn't know where she was going. Blood was drying on her face even as she moved.
All of them... Even Peter.
She never faltered, never slowed. For hours she ran, faster than any horse. When she finally stopped, it was on a thick sheet of ice. One of many steps on a staircase. She clung to it, choking on her sobs, hot tears running down her face.
She was the wolf. And she didn't have her hood anymore.

Remarkably, Roommates
Ruby Lucas was nineteen, and very lucky. She wasn't the best student, though she was clever enough. She'd gotten into a relatively good school, even by Granny's standards. The courseload, she could handle, and being away from home certainly didn't break her heart - and if it did, who was to judge her, anyway? - but there was one thing she was a bit nervous about.
Ruby was a people person, sure, but sharing her most personal living space with someone she didn't even know was bound to be an adjustment. And if the other girl was intolerable, what could she do? Not just leave.
She got out of her truck and pulled out her luggage. She was relatively happy with how much of her stuff she'd managed to fit in the two bags. The big rolling case was full of clothes and shoes, and the duffel bag had other necessities. As she walked to her room, she thought of everything that could be wrong with her roommate. Too neat, too sloppy, hardcore shove-religion-down-your-throat-and-ask-why-you-can't-breathe Christian...
Sooner than she might have liked, she was at the door to 3-G. She paused, taking a beat, and then opened the door, peering into the room.

Red paused at that. It seemed a simple enough question, but a truthful answer that matched was nowhere to be found.
"It's complicated, but I think I'm content."

❊ —  Going by the way the other responded, she’d never seen her before. That wasn’t uncommon – many people hadn’t – and Elsa didn’t mind anonymity for this certain question.
“Are you – … are you happy?”
