It's my AU and I'll spoil the plot if I want to! Get ready babes!

Let's talk about the first and last death of Redstar!

There are 2 important plot things before I get into it:

1) It actually takes a LOT of convincing from literally everybody (AND their moms) for Redtail to get his 9 lives. He is loyal to Thunderclan and truly believes that he will return to it, until he learns of its fall in the paws of Tigerstar. It's only when Sandstorm (his only family left at this point) tells him of her want to remain in Skyclan that he accepts.

2) When Tigerstar killed Spottedleaf at the Moonstone, Starclan shut itself away. No cat could reach them or recieve their 9 lives (in the forest territories) while Tigerstar was alive.

So let's begin

Redstar, of course, loses his first life to Tigerstar in the battle against Tigerclan. Now, Redstar had given the command that no cat would call him 'star'. He knew about the cut off from Starclan, and purposefully hid his role from the enemy. Tigerstar had no reason to assume Red would have more than 1 life.

Big mistake, cue the shocked pikachu face.

Redstar stands back up and dives right back in (he was pleasantly surprised that he only had to kill Tiger once)

Big time skip. We're in the new territories (there's lots of story here but that can wait)

The eclipse is a few hours away and the Dark Forest is coming with it. Redstar wakes his deputy and medicine cats and they hustle to the Moonpool to get Hollyleaf her 9 lives in secret before the battle.

He knows he won't survive this battle. He is old, and hyper aware that Tigerstar is coming for him personally.

And he's right.

During the battle Hollyleaf stays at Redstars side. When Tiger and his sons make an appearance she dies taking Hawk and Bramble down (with the help of her ghost friend)

Redstar fights Tigerstar but is overpowered. Tigerstar gloats over his victory, drawing out Redstars death. He knows that Redstar has no more lives. Redstar won't get back up this time.

But Hollystar will.

With the last of his strength, Redstar pins Tigerstar long enough for Hollystar to recover and deliver a killing blow. Redstar praises his great-granddaughter, encouraging her for her new journey as leader, and then passes away.

Hollyleaf or Redtail!

As I'm on my phone we'll all have to settle for some Hollyleaf facts!

- she is a Tiger-clone in this AU. Every cat finds it uncanny how much she resembles her evil grandpa.

- Redstar is very close to her because of how much she reminds him of Sandstorm.

- she trains in the dark forest...kinda... Her uncles try to recruit her but somebody keeps interfering

- she only gets 8 lives from Starclan. Redstar begs her to get her lives on the eve of the Great Battle, but because he's still alive when she does, she only gets 8...from Starclan...

Let's start with Cherrytail

I renamed her Cherrybreeze in this AU because it felt weird having duplicate names in the starter Skyclan. Since Clover joins first she gets to keep the name. (She also gets the man)

Cherrybreeze becomes mates with Tinycloud! Because lesbians! Lol

They have one litter (Parsleykit & Blossomkit) and adopt one kit (Hawkpaw) during their relationship. Cherrybreeze does not live to see the new territories.

EGG

The man, the myth, the legend.

Egg is actually born into Skyclan this time. He is part of the second litter of Honeypool (Princess) and Snowbreeze (Snowkit). He is given the name Eggflower. He has a crush on Darktail, but nothing ever comes of it and he never takes a mate.

Thrushpelt!

So good and bad news.

Good news is that he lives much longer in this AU than he does in canon. Bluestar was also a lot more honest about the kits with him and he even helped take them to the border. (Thrushpelt and Greypool both knew everything in this. Mosskits death was unrelated, and the kits all got renamed after the move)

He was Bluestar's first deputy, and the close bond between them carried Thunderclan through some good seasons. Though they never call each other mates again, they share a nest and are almost inseparable.

He falls horribly ill and nearly dies, and though he survives he never truly recovers. He retires shortly after due to his frail health and is replaced by Thistleclaw. This goes as well as expected and Redtail is appointed deputy 3 days later after Thistleclaws death.

Thrushpelt is by Bluestar's side as she begins to lose herself after the death of Redtail, and Lionheart shortly after that. He helps her come to the choice of Tigerclaw, as Thunderclan is in desperate need of his strength.

Bluestar's death breaks him.

For a week, he sits at the Riverclan border. He eats when food is brought to him, but refuses to return to camp. Stormstar tells his clan not to bother him, and both clans medicine cats check on him regularly.

On the 5th day Greypool joins him. She talks to him when no one else is around, and returns home every night. She tells him about the kits he once called his.

On the 7th day Thrushpelt simply does not wake up.

All cats agree he died of his broken heart. He is buried in the forest next to Bluestar.

are bluestar and oakheart still the parents of mistyfoot and stonefur?

Yes but with some differences!

Greypool went with Oakheart to get the kits from the border. He had approached her immediately after he learned Bluefur was giving him the kits. The plan was for her to nurse them alongside her own litter, but Greypool’s kits didn’t survive their first night.

In this AU kits aren’t named or introduced to the clan until their eyes change to their true color, so Bluefur had not yet named the kits. Greypool named Stonekit and Oakheart named Mistykit.

Stonefur and Mistyfoot know that Greypool and Oakheart have never been mates, but actually believe they’re related to Greypool by blood, not Oakheart. They still love both their parents of course!

Greypool and Stormstar sit the kits down and tell them the truth after Oakheart’s death. Stonefur takes it much better than Mistyfoot but they both accepted it after a while and moved on.

if redstar was mates with Squirrelstream, then gets with Billystorm. are they going to be poly? or does he pick one? what does Squirrelstream feel about Redstar moving on?

Squirrelstream unfortunately dies believing that Redtail was killed by Riverclan, and Sandstorm has to break the news of both Squirrelstream and Spottedleaf’s deaths after reuniting with Redtail.

Puddlestorm (Billystorm) starts out as just a gentle but firm voice for advice when it comes to integrating kittypets into the life of a warrior, and Redtail quickly becomes friends with him. They stay just friends for a long while and slowly become more to each other, but never put a name to it. After Sandstorm has her kits, Redstar and Puddlestorm finally officially call themselves mates. 

Squirrelstream was very happy to see Redstar find love again after his death, and watches him happily from Starclan. Squirrelstream and Puddlestorm bond in Starclan while waiting for Redstar, and all three will be together after he loses his final life.
