Her name is “Jessie Ware” Jessica Lois Ware (born 15 October 1984).She is  an English singer and songwriter.A 33year old who sings from the depth of her heart. I came across her through her song” Say you love me”.  She has awesome tunes like alone, champagne kisses,Tough love and so much more.

She is on her own pedstal, She sings from deep within.  She already has 3 albums to her name. Several nominations and a few wins. You should totally check her out if you want to stir up some emotions you were not sure you had.To make it more beautiful, she has a song for her husband “Sam”.

Road To Recovery

Hey there,

I needed to write this because of how sentimental I am. It is exactly a year today, a year when I walked away from a toxic relationship. I was with the meanest and most selfish person I had ever met in my life. If we are being honest, it still hurts terribly. As the days go by, it gets better but some days are tough especially when you are not as progressive as you expected. I am here, I am thankful for God, life, family and a few good friends. I am far from where I really want to be but looking back at this time last year I am totally and extremely glad. I was at the weakest and lowest point of my life. I never want to be that way again. 

Everyone says I am strong, only if they knew how much I battle with myself and spirit. It is a real tug of war but I internalize it all. I hurt, I am broken, I am exhausted, I cry deep tears that no one sees because I don’t really understand the way things are a lot of times. But I rather go through all these than go back to where I was a year ago. Just as a new day comes after the night, I am certain my new day is almost here.....I am on my road to recovery.

Ella Mai is my other girl today.  She was born 3rd November 1994. She is an English singer and songwriter from London .

Ella is Pop and alternate RnB. She has a strong range which makes her diverse. I see a little bit of beyonce in her but more of Alica Keyz. Her song “Boo’ed up” was what caught my attention. Hi Y’all! I know ,I know , I know.... it has been over two years here but trust me alot has happened. Life happened and it involved  different phases.  But good thing is we are still here.

My artist for today is H.E.R (born June 27, 1997 as Gabriella 'Gabi' Wilson ), better known by her stage name H.E.R. (acronym for "Having Everything Revealed"). She is an amazing,deep, young and talented young lady. She has a little bit of SZA feel who is also a fantastic artist who has dropped amazing and huge tracks but I digress. H.E.R reminds me of Jhene Aiko who is also a lover of mine. H.E.R has a tint of pop somewhere but mainly RnB. We could also find some soul in between. Her tracks”change” and “Focus” were what attracted me to her. I totally had to check out her EP. For someone quite young, she is good. You can feel the raw emotions in her tunes and this makes it all worth it.

Hi Y’all! today the artist I would be talking about is Irma. Irma Pany, is a Cameroonian singer-songwriter living in France. She does mostly pop and folk music.She is pretty young with a rich voice, loves to dance at least that is what I have seen from her videos and quirky....I love people who are weird and quirky they are different and live in their own world.Her song “Catch the wind” was what got me. I had previously listened to her “Save me” track when an excited colleague of mine mentioned how amazing the song was as well as the video.  You can check her out on her website or her youtube channel.

These words just seem to be me speaking. I am no artist but they say so much. I am sure some of us young ladies(if not all of us) have gone through these phases. A phase where you are so excited and can’t wait to grow, a phase you question yourself, looks, intelligence and what not. Sometimes you are just lost and can’t pin point who you are, where you stand, where you are headed. But then an awakening comes and you feel like its a second chance and then you put in your all. I am at this point, its slow but its steady. Find Yourself Woman!

10 things I should have done by 28.

I turned 28 years old, 3 months and 3 days ago. Trust me it wasn't an exciting feeling. Yes I was grateful for life, health and all because I am a spiritual being and I associate everything to God. But trust me I had thoughts, thoughts of if only, thoughts of I wish, thoughts of maybe.....3 months after, these thoughts are still in my head and I am trying to deal with them . So maybe I should rename my post, 10 things I wish I had done by 28 or 10 things I could have done by 28 or 10 things I should have learnt by 28. I really don’t know but they go thus in no particular order;

- Driven a vehicle on the highway.

- Travelled on an international flight to an exotic place and splurge.

- Travelled somewhere far far away all by myself .

-Learnt Arabic and Hausa / speak a new language.

- Made my first million in my local currency.

-Kissed someone of a different race.

- Go bungee jumping or skydiving

- Attend a major sports event, World Cup,major concert.

- Be married.

-FIGURE MY DAMN LIFE!

So I am lover of good music, old like the 1980s or new like October 2015. This category is going to be about artists I think are awesome enough to give a second listen to their art. Also it is going to include artists who have been around but I just discovered or they just put something out or a major throw back. My guy today is Mali Music whose birth name is  Kortney Jamaal Pollard, an American recording artist, singer-songwriter and producer. He sounds great, lyrics are wonderful, instruments are awesome as well. He reminds me of Mario kinda. But definitely has his own sound and he is a cute one *wink*

And it begins

Hi, I created this account few weeks back when I was feeling down, vulnerable and emotional. I needed something new,another outlet to vent and blow off steam as my blog or twitter timeline wasn't enough anymore so I birthed this one...I am better now, my emotions are like pendulums sometimes here other times there not sure exactly. But I know I am a work in progress.
