“You are the only person who is in charge of how you feel about yourself. Nobody else can possibly do that. You get to decide if you believe you are beautiful or not, and nobody can take it away from you. If someone suggests that you aren’t beautiful, you can consider how sad it is that they have such a limited view of beauty. You can consider how unfortunate it is that they have such an exaggerated sense of self-importance that they think you should care about what they think. You can also choose to realize that it has nothing at all to do with your beauty and everything to do with their limitations.”

i have always looked for love in poetry
looked for you
why is it i dont have a favorite verse for myself?
you may be my soulmate
but what is this soul of mine
surely you do not see a mirror reflection
what is this soul of mine

lesson 1: for the kids with no families
you will find and make your own one day
you are loved and precious - not by others, but by your own damn self
once you learn how to treasure your own self
there’s not a thing someone else can do that can truly hurt you that badly again

as a busy woman who has stuff to do and her mentality to protect
when someone you love hurts you and goes over the line
just put everything to the side
and realize that you gotta love yourself too at some point
do not resort to yelling, do not resort to cussing
give him multiple chances
once you feel he is truly no longer engaging in the dialogue maturely or politely, but instead is being only hurtful consciously
do not allow yourself to descend into base behavior
because you’re damaging your own soul when you do that
don’t let your mouth say horrid things
why? cos that’s your God-given mouth and tongue that you’re making more and more wicked
just don’t damage your soul
people say there’s merit in being tough and being verbally abrasive
sure, there may be a time and place for that & i can speak up for myself
but when it’s with someone you love, and you guys are going through something tough, just cut it from your mind mentally
feel the emotion - do not repress it
feel it, acknowledge it, then cut it
holding onto anger is swallowing the poison yourself and hoping the other person becomes sick
in this case, you’re destroying your own concentration, your own productivity, and thereby your own future
you’re letting 30 minutes dictate your entire day
when time is money, and your wallet’s looking a little tight.
so you gotta protect your time that you do still have. you gotta hold onto that so you can fight for your goals and your dreams and your future.
you gotta protect your soul. what God gave you.
i’m a daughter of God. i am loved. i am kind. i try to be kind. i am loved. he forgives me. i forgive myself.
onto the future please.
he/she/they can catch up with you when they’re ready.

No, she's going to wear what she wants to wear. She's going to wear what she wants to wear, in the name of Jesus.
