Writers note: Since Riverdale isn’t bound by the rules of time we use here on Earth, neither is this fic. The show left very little time between FP coming home and Southside closing, so I’m using my judgment to stretch that out just a little bit. This might be a bit of a filler chapter ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  BUT, I do hope you enjoy it all the same especially because you get to know more about Carl and Sweet Pea (you’ll see what I mean)

Writers note: First of all, thanks for checking this out! I hope all of you like it. I’ve had this floating around for a little bit and decided to write it. The beginning is supposed to be a juxtaposition to season 1 episode 1, like when Veronica comes to town. As for timeline purposes, this is taking place after Jughead transfers to Southside High and FP gets out of jail. This is mostly exposition but I promise the next chapter has more Sweet Pea/Serpents.
