“They rang the bells from sunrise to sunset” — ringing the bells meant many things (yes also surrender to the invader), but connected to birth it was used to celebrate the birth of the heir, and the fact that Ros remembers particularly that they rang the bells when Sansa was born (and she doesn’t mention the other siblings) sets her apart from others, perhaps the best show/canon hint of Sansa’ future as Queen in the North and I refuse to believe that, with Martin still as involved as he was that early in the season that it was done without purpose.
It shows us that Sansa is Ned’s moral heir, not only will she inherit Winterfell and rule and be loved as her father was, but as the second daughter who never aspired to see herself “rule” over Winterfell but who took it at heart and defended and ruled it with love.
The blood of Winterfell.

It's always "take vengeance on your slavers" but when I, MIRRI MAZ DUUR, do it with a fan favorite character---

Robb is the man he thought Ned was. Jon is the most similar man to whom Ned actually was. And it is not even funny.
Ned lied for Sansa and for Jon.
Robb refused to lie and lost his head.
The moral is not just to be honest, or dishonest. There is no moral but survival. And one real truth, in the end, the only thing that moves human beings is the love (for themselves and for other).
But also yes, it is telling that Ned otherwise super honorable Ned, lies to save bastards (Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen and one of them will get him killed) and he lies for Sansa and Jon whom he loves (maybe they will carry on his legacy?)
This is probably my shipper brain but I realized the biggest lies Ned told that hurt his honor were done for Jon and Sansa. Covering up Jon's identity and the truth about the ruling family hurt the fabric of their society and he still did it to protect his loved ones.
Just add this to the list of oddly specific connections for characters that supposedly didn't interact much.

don’t know who needs to hear this but AO3 comments section is not Letterboxd. giving unsolicited criticism to a fanfic writer does not make you a “fanfic critic” because there’s no. such. thing.
giving unsolicited criticism to a fanfic writer just makes you a spoiled, rude, entitled asshole at best, makes the author stop posting their works altogether at worst.
a reminder that it’s always okay to just stop reading and quietly click away from a fic if at any point you feel like you don’t like it for whatever reasons. unless specifically asked, there’s no need to tell the author, whose work you read for free, how you dislike something they wrote for themself for fun.

Do you see the white star, Quentyn? That is Nymeria’s star, burning bright, and that milky band behind her, those are ten thousand ships. She burned as bright as any man, and so shall I. You will not rob me of my birthright!

I love when people go through the trouble to complain about my writing in English, calling it juvenile, not inspiring and filled with grammar and awkward phrasing, when it is not my native language, I do not have a degree in it and call me lazy even when I am writing in a language not my own, in which I have no degree, for free, whilst I work and study.
I guess I am just lazy. Shame on me.
Guess I should be grateful they took the time to read my dreadful, juvenile, awkward, littered with grammatical errors writing for who knows how many chapters.
