「私が来た!」–  To say that he had expected her arms to wrap around him would have been a lie. Toshinori had only been leaning against the wall to adjust his crutch braces to a more comfortable settlement against his arms. However, in process of that, Inko had come up to lace her arms around his gaunt frame.

The blond allowed himself to rely on the wall behind himself for support.

Almost experimentally he raised a hand from his crutches grip and settled it upon her back. ( One crutch clattered to the ground. ) Even more experimentally he released his other crutch and did the same thing a second time. The second crutch lay at their feet.

Slowly his hands slid to wrap around her fully. A returned motion. Perhaps more importantly than even that, a returned sentiment. Toshinori squeezed her against his body: gentle yet tight.

    “Thank you, Inko.”
