“NOW OR NEVER” DEPARTMENT:
I don’t think I had the whole 22 volume set of these. But I had a few of them. This is the one I remember, from 1970. I stared at this image a lot as a first grader; that belching spew of pollution pouring out over the anti-crime bill with dynamite on it. Dead fishes. America’s evil manufacturing base in the background looking like Mordor. It was dark times for a woke kid. The inside of this volume had a picture of then president Richard Nixon giving a speech next to a river of sewage. (I wonder whatever happened to him.)
