Despite it being barely 5:30 in the morning and the thick snow quickly blanketing a still-quiet Star City, Felicity was incredibly excited this morning. She was about to treat herself to a cronut from Royal Confections – the newest and most popular bakery in town.

Her best friend Iris visited the other day and raved non-stop about the pastries she had. Remembering Felicity’s cronut obsession, Iris insisted she check it out as it was the first place to sell cronuts in Star City. She also mentioned that the owner was supposedly famous and very cute, though apparently Iris didn’t get a glimpse of said owner. But, that isn’t what attracted Felicity to the new hot spot. Cute owner or not, the only thing that had Felicity going out of her way this cold, snowy morning was the promise of the best cronut anywhere outside of New York City.

Peering through the snow, she spotted the faint lights of the bakery just a few feet away. Immediately, a big grin came to her lips and she trudged through the snow a little faster than before. As she approached, she barely paused to admire the festive decorations adorning the exterior of the little shop before pushing through the entrance. Taking a moment to pull the dusty pink beanie off her head and brush the snow off her wool duffel coat, a sharp gasp escaped her lips when she finally looked up.

The bakery was absolutely gorgeous with modern dark wood floors contrasted by pristine white walls. Red, green, and gold Christmas decorations covered nearly every corner of the store. The mantle of the subtle wood-trimmed white fireplace on the left was draped with garland and adorned with bundles of festive ornaments. An equally impressive wreath hung over the fireplace, decked out in matching ornaments and finished with a big red and gold bow. Small café tables were artfully arranged in the space in front of the fireplace, each topped with a small poinsettia. A decked out 12-foot-tree just to the right of the fireplace tied the whole picturesque setting together.

Stealing her gaze away from the quaint nook, it didn’t take her long to spot the equally captivating display counter. Drifting that direction, Felicity tucked a few strands of blonde hair behind her ear and bent down to stare in awe at the gorgeous confections that lined the granite counter top. Iris hadn’t been kidding when she said they looked like a French pastry chef made them.

Felicity had just made it to the mouth-watering stack of cronuts when a deep inhale and rumbling snore back to her left caught her attention. Brows pinched together, Felicity stood up and peered around the cashier counter. There, just to the right of the Christmas tree, was a massive German Shepard sleeping soundly in a cozy dog bed.

Possibly the lamest summary ever written on this site for a story. If you're still reading this, how much worse can the story be? You're in too deep now - may as well keep reading.

S2 CEO/EA Olicity. Amazing Olicity banter, Jealous! Oliver, Protective! Felicity. This fic is HILARIOUS and so much fun to read! It’s also heartfelt and full of lots of fun UST ;) It’s crazy to think the author had only seen Olicity clips before writing this, she writes them so well!

Her author's notes alone are legend. Her fics are long and drawn out but so fantastic and often funny as heck. This fic, and the several fics that follow it (it's a bit of a series) are on ff.net so I don't think a lot of current fans know about them. The sequel is Love Potion Number 9  and is every bit as amazing. There is another story after that, Under My Skin but it's unfinished. STILL, these fics deserve attention and love and sunlight in which to grow.

This is such a beautiful fic, with lots of 'guest stars' popping up! Oliver and Felicity talk on the phone every night post S5 and discuss everything that needed to be said.

There’s pining, shared history, friendship and so many lovely things. Plus, it’s an envisioning of Olicity as middle aged and the author pulls it off so well. I just can’t say enough nice things about this fic. I re-read it OFTEN. I would love to see other readers give it love.
