The applications form will be open from today, Aprill 11th, to April 27th. Then, invites will be sent out to the selected contributors on May 2nd! You can apply separately as an artist and a writer, but will be selected only to contribute under one of the two roles. Additionally, if you're an artist, you can also apply to be the cover artist for the zine!

And if you're good at working in a short time frame, why not apply to be a pitch-hitter? In case a contributor has to call it quits unexpectedly, you'll be the one tasked to swoop in and make a piece instead!

Meet the Galactic Crew of the starship RenTheZine!

Ghast (@kingtheghast) and Anpan (@anpanbun) are our Captain and Chief Captain! Handling the zine overview, their job is to keep this ship running no matter what!

Jayce (@lem0nayce) and Scrambled (@scrambledlikeeggs) are our engineers-- the art mods! They'll make sure to help artists build the best piece they can.

Dove (@aistandardcherry) and Lew (@liloinkoink/@driflew) are our pilots-- the writing mods! They keep our writers on track and will help snipe down any typos!

For the Rendog art for the application, can it be Misadventures Rendog or is this specifically Hermitcraft? (I know the skin is the same, but this is more related to the context/background of the pieces.)

Any Ren you want! The background and context isn’t relevant— except, of course, to show that you’re able to make a background. It in itself can be whatever you want!

We don't have that option enabled in our form, so no, but we'll get in contact when it's time to send acceptance and rejection emails.

Is there any way you could request to be contacted via your discord or Tumblr instead of email? I currently don't have a safe email to use and can't make one (for personal reasons) but would love to apply!

Unfortunately no!

If we do an exception like this for one applicant we'd have to extend it to everyone, and we cannot commit to personally messaging that big of a number of people. If you have an old email you could recycle, you're very welcome to apply, but unfortunately an email is mandatory to be contacted. So sorry!

On April 11th, we'll be releasing an application form for artists and writers. You can apply for one or both-- do keep in mind, though, that you can only participate as one of these roles!

The goal of this zine is to showcase through art and writing the different parts of Ren's Youtube journey, with the final release date being on his birthday, where we intend to gift him the zine as a show of appreciation for all he's done over the years!

does the mod team for this zine have overlap between inthelittlezine?

Yep, two of us including the mod who’s typing this, RTZ head mod!

The mods were picked because they were people who I had modded with before, so I have full trust on this team.

And thus there is overlap with ITLZ mods for the simple fact of having worked together previously.
