Oh my God I just finished Iron Widow and it was so good I want to physically eat the book just to absorb some of its raw power.

tbh if Xiran Jay Zhao decides to take half a decade to finish the third book I'll be here waiting in silence and I'll be the first to preorder it and I'll consider myself lucky to live in the right time to read their amazing work and support them

Finished Heavenly Tyrant and my main takeaway rn is that if Qin Zheng wasn't so possessive he could've had not just a ruthless thicc murder wife but also a ruthless pretty boy strategist husband and a hunk nerdy cinnamon-roll-who-can-kill-you husband.

Like man could've had the most ruthless polycule by his side ruling Huaxia and he fumbled it.

I'm a little over half way through Heavenly Tyrant and the thing you need to realize about this book is that the XJZ stuffed this narrative with every ounce of historical knowledge about revolutions and communism and leftist politics into it they could reasonably fit. For better or worse. You might not like it but personally I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

Just finished heavenly tyrant, it took me two days and it would have taken me less if my dumb ass human body didn't "need to sleep", I'm devastated, dumbfounded, I do not know what to do with my life after this book, it was so fucking good, it may me even better than the last one honestly, though every book that @xiranjayzhao has published has been amazing so why am I even surprised by this, now I gotta wait three more years to read the last part while rereading the books over and over again(I've read iron widow at least 12 times since it came out) ok I don't know what else to say so I'm going to sleep.
