Overnight she’s thrust into becoming the Herald of Andraste and given a teacher to help control her wild magic, but is this new tutor all that he appears? More importantly, will he be able to help Réonerra before her magic tears her – and the world – apart?

hey hi hello! dragon age: the veilguard community council member here. i’m seeing a lot of negative behaviour towards the council, especially on twitter, and everyone needs to just relax.

we have played some of the game already, and are urging everyone to wait for the gameplay reveal. not because we’re getting paid, but because WE KNOW MORE THAN YOU and want you to trust us! yes the companion trailer is a lot more punchy and “guardians of the galaxy” coded, but the gameplay reveal is exactly what the doctor ordered. it’s what i wish the company led with, because of how damn good it is. this is coming from the mouth and heart of someone who has been invested in dragon age for a decade, and whose interests lie deep in dark fantasy and horror. someone who has challenged the devs over the years alongside other council members.

it’s foolish to want the game to be just like origins, when it was released in 2009 and is severely outdated. if you are hung up on older content, then replay the older games and let everyone else enjoy the veilguard. at least give the title a shot, i promise you will all be surprised.
