Monarchic Socialism!!!

What is Monarchic Socialism, you may ask?

Well, what if I told you that strange women lyin’ in ponds distributin’ swords are actually the only acceptable basis for a system of government?

It’s easy.

The Middle Ages were actually great. At no other time were the means of production so decentralized, offering a decent living standard to the working class.

The king represented the will of almighty God and nature, and when his word was absolute, we were all equal and prosperous under his boots. But then we deviated from his mighty wisdom, and the Devil punished us with capitalism.

The problem with modern society is that nobody believes in divine right anymore. Bring back the king. Bring back the fairies. Bring back the swords in ponds.

Monarchy is the natural state of man. Do you think cavemen had elections? No. They had a Big Guy in Charge. Democracy is a blip in history—and a mistake at that.

Capitalism is just feudalism but with extra steps and less honor. Bring back the knights and their cool capes.

Look at Trump. Trump is evil because Republicans are evil. The Republic is evil. People actually voted for that thing. Socialist monarchy is the only good system.

In a proper monarchy, the king ensures everyone has food, shelter, and a good sword. Instead, we have landlords and student loans. Disgraceful.

Some men were meant to rule. Some were meant to serve. Some were meant to dance for the amusement of the court.

There was a time when a peasant could work four days a week, own a house, and drink beer all day at a festival. Now I have to fill out tax forms. This is not progress.

Socialist monarchism is not an oxymoron. The king redistributes the wealth. The king commands justice. The king wears a cool crown. Where is the problem?

A good king ensures his people are happy and prosperous. A bad king gets overthrown and eaten by wolves in the woods. It’s a perfect system.

The monarchy is God’s will. Universal healthcare is also God’s will. God’s will is that you should not have to pay for a broken leg.

My ideal government is a single wise ruler advised by talking animals, a council of wizards, and a few peasant folk who keep him grounded.

America is a failed state because it has no king and no castles. Denmark has castles and a king and is thriving. Coincidence?

i think the near-extinction of people making fun, deep and/or unique interactive text-based browser games, projects and stories is catastrophic to the internet. i'm talking pre-itch.io era, nothing against it.

there are a lot of fun ones listed here and here but for the most part, they were made years ago and are now a dying breed. i get why. there's no money in it. factoring in the cost of web hosting and servers, it probably costs money. it's just sad that it's a dying art form.

anyway, here's some of my favorite browser-based interactive projects and games, if you're into that kind of thing. 90% of them are on the lists that i linked above.

Checkbox Olympics - games involving clicking checkboxes

Cookie Clicker - different but felt weird not including it. by Orteil.

if you're ever thinking about making a niche project that only a select number of individuals will be nerdy enough to enjoy, keep in mind i've been playing some of these games off and on for 20~ years (Alter Ego, for example). quite literally a lifetime of replayability.

I got a laptop with Windows 11 for an IT course so I can get certified, and doing the first time device set-up for it made me want to commit unspeakable violence

Windows 11 should not exist, no one should use it for any reason, it puts ads in the file explorer and has made it so file searches are also web searches and this cannot be turned off except through registry editing. Whoever is responsible for those decisions should be killed, full stop.

Switch to linux, it's free and it's good.
