Okay The Ending Was Fucking Stupid . it was like a "man, come on," kind of moment LOL . NOWWWW i see why people were saying the ending was so comically cgi . sorry cannot help but bring this stuff up when it comes to horror movies that're so focused on the Big Event LOL .... easily went from a 5 on letterboxd from me to a 4 . which is basically catastrophic . credits look cool though !! :")

"in memory of tony todd" too ... overall i think this is one of the better final destination movies for interesting callbacks to all the previous films & a NEW kind of premonition premise . the fact that the protags grandmother prevented SO MANY deaths, that they were able to have so many families started, that death has a 'backlog' it had to work through to get TO her, while it was still working through the various disasters in the other films ... honestly pretty fun ! i liked that lore tidbit . i really want to see some behind the scenes moments for this now . it blended a lot of true "Oh G-d what a horrible way to die" and "okay that was kinda funny LOL" which is necessary for a FD film . also the little steps leading up to someones demise, the HINTS .

i LOVE it when they have a good "GOTCHA ! it was actually something else lol :)" moment . it reminded me a lot of how scream 5 really switched a lot of gears as a kind of 'revival' . the variety of kills was good, too . some that weren't too much, kind of light and quick, and some that were fantastically over the top . one death that involved ripping a BUNCH of piercings off was really cool and also had me do a quick laugh cause YEOWCH that would suck so bad . music was not too bad either . i'm really curious to see what other people thought of it

but boy . they definitely gave a lot of love to the splatter and gore effects . maybe it's me being more sensitized again but a couple of them i was like OH, WHEW !!!!!!!! yuck !!! it almost eeked out to an "okay man, we could've just had mystery meat" kind of feeling :joyemoji:

anyway i think it could've just ended with the brother and sister getting to make it out . the way they were killed and then the LOGS !! LOL !! THE LOGS REARING THEIR HEADS UP !!!!! the more i think about it i'm like okay that was funny . but i was also emotionally attached to them rekindling their relationship after the distance college put between them so i was like :( you did this ending for the wrong horror fans (NOT ME) i surely would have given my patented 5/5 but they literally fucked with deaths design even like . come on man . double barrel kill with the logs that took the wind out of it for me ... IT WAS DIFFERENT WITH THE OTHER ONES like the subway ending in final destination 3, and the sign killing one of them in final destination 1 . like that was done in a very cool way . this one . well it was just a little too slapstick for me sowwy . i love slapstick but it just annoyed me for the reasons i already said . 4/5 !

do i recommend it ? yes lol . i had a lot of fun !! i feel like it's a movie you can just jump into if you've never watched one too cause they explain it pretty well .
