OUT NOW: Killer Aloe From Outer Space! You may not have heard of it, but a few years ago, a short film called Killer Aloe From Outer Space was quietly released as a joint effort between two Italian production companies, da Palmer Films & Analoge Widerstandsfront. World-renowned graphic artist, Hannes Pasqualini aka Papernoise (whom we met through his work designing graphics for our favorite synthesizer manufacturer, Mutable Instruments), worked as a member of the film’s production team and also composed its ambient-yet-menacing soundtrack under his musical moniker, Rumpelfilter. He’s sent us some production notes and storyboards from his notebook, a few trailers and the complete soundtrack. All of these items, as well as three exclusive alternate songs from the soundtrack, are included in the deluxe soundtrack package.

Help Resofame Support Destitute L4L Poster Artist
We recently tracked down the artist who created the poster for A Laser for Lovers and found him living in squalor, laid up with a herniated disc and owing thousands in back taxes. Furthermore, The Diamond Group never paid him one cent for his amazing work. Please consider supporting him by buying a print of his original poster here: http://bit.ly/1F91PB8

Coming Soon: Protocole - Bande Sonore Originale du Film

It is becoming clear to us now that film score composers have the best work ethic of anyone involved with the massive undertaking of producing a feature-length film. Yet again, we have discovered what appears to be a fully completed musical score for a movie that never made it into theaters (or even direct-to-home-video).
Resofame Recordings presents: Protocole - Bande Sonore Originale du Film!
With the recent closure of Radio-Canada's "L'entrepôt du costumier," several unmarked archive boxes have been cataloged for inventory and one box of particular interest has made its way to the Resofame office. Inside, we found soundtrack master tapes, post-production audio treatments of dialogue, a few pre-production sketches, the movie poster and a promotional mouse pad for what appears to have been a French language sci-fi horror film produced somewhere in Quebec in the late 1980's. According to some research completed by our Montréal correspondent, Jérôme LeBel, Protocole: Le Voyage d’un cargo de l’espace transdimensionnel seems to have been placed in production limbo when the film studio's parent company decided to focus its resources on Denys Arcand's follow up to the highly successful Le Déclin de l'empire américain. For unknown reasons, production on Protocole never resumed and it was ultimately shelved. However, it appears that most of the film was near completion, including an impressive original score by Montréal synth-wizard, Pocaille.
We have painstakingly digitally archived and restored all of this and on March 10, 2015, Resofame Recordings will officially release the soundtrack, complete with hi-resolution scans of the printed materials and even limited edition reproductions of the promotional mouse pad. As an added bonus, we have employed five of Montréal's finest electronic music producers to remix the movie's main title theme.
Pre-order your copy today at the reduced promotional price of only $5.00 US.

Along with the movie soundtrack, we found an early test cartridge for an NES game that was in development. Pretty certain this one wasn't getting the Nintendo Seal of Quality. ROM ripped by the illustrious Batsly Adams and will be available as part of the deluxe soundtrack package to be released July 1st!

Not sure of the story behind this one. Apparently, the Diamond Group was working on distribution for a Brazilian release as well. Found this on a VHS tape. Thanks to Andre Z. Pagnossim for verifying its Brazilian origin and transferring from VHS.

Coming Soon: A Laser for Lovers
Two years ago, a box was recovered from a storage locker. It contained a treasure trove of artifacts from an 80′s action flick that no one had ever heard of, A Laser for Lovers. There were some production notes, a movie poster, an unmarked original Nintendo cartridge and, most importantly, a VHS tape containing what appears to be a completed soundtrack. After a few years of research, it became apparent that for whatever reason, this film was never released and likely never completed. Resofame Recordings has painstakingly archived these documents and completed a digital remaster of the album, set for release on 1 July 2014.

A Love Letter to the Sounds of Cinema
Resofame. A woody word, one with resonance, one with clarity. A venture, a soundtrack catalog. Unlike other soundtrack collections, whose effusive and languid indifference crowds the parlor of true arts, these trollops sit, detached, disinterested, operating only at the whims of their patron fathers at the major studios. We lounge proudly, with dignity. Their painted faces a mockery of the sonic canvas so many composers strive to paint in the minds of the cinema loving masses. Resofame scours these parlors, rousing forgotten and fantastic works from the detritus of Hollywood’s self-possessed fever dreams. Tonight, do not go home with a vapid approximation of lust. Come along with Resofame. The journey is rough, but the reward is divine.
