Could you maybe do more how to draw things? I've been wanting to start drawing but am... Terrible. But I wanna embrace that! I guess like. Encouragement cats, even? it's so easy to decide it has to be perfect and I don't know. In a weird headspace lately and when I saw the how to draw cats one I saved it for when I'm ready to try art again. Its all just very... Its a freeing idea. And this blog really inspires me. To care less and appreciate more. But I really have no clue where to start...
with a lot of these shapes you just wanna draw them over and over until you get one you like. i don’t think i drew any of these shapes first try! but also it all comes together once it is all one shape so don’t worry about it too much

Is it hard be a design student? I've been interested in the field of graphic designing and all that, but I'm not sure if its worth doing what I like to do if I don't think I'll do good after being a student and finding a job. Do you have any tips?
It can be quite difficult to be a design student. I’m not going to sugarcoat it. In my experience, I’ve found that quite a lot of clients tend to have high expectations for what they’re going to get from you. I believe this is mostly due to the fact that they don’t necessarily understand how long and laborious the design process is. They also seem to expect you to have a wide range of design skills.
If finding work is what you’re worried about, then I suggest making sure you know how to work common design programs from Adobe Creative Cloud, like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and possibly Premiere. You can also look into getting certified by Adobe for your skills in the programs you are very good at. It’s a nice thing to put on your CV to make you stand out from other candidates.
Your design skills should be varied and include digital art (e.g. icons, typography), publications (e.g. magazines, adverts), product design (e.g. packaging), and UI/UX (e.g. web design, app design). This ensures that you can cover all bases and can find work in various different design roles while being confident in your abilities.
I’ve also found that it’s easier to find roles in web design and development due to a growing demand for websites. So, if you’re not afraid of venturing into the world of coding, it might be helpful for you to learn HTML and CSS at the very least, and maybe some very basic JavaScript to complement any web design skills. Learning languages such as these can be extremely useful when searching for a job.
Of course, you might want to do a quick search of what design roles seem to be most in demand in your location so that you can tailor your skillset to match client needs.
Stay up-to-date on current design practices. Subscribe to your favourite design blogs to stay in the loop of the design industry. I personally like Smashing Magazine and Creative Bloq.
If you can go further with your designs, then do so. Participate in design competitions such as D&AD New Blood Awards, YCN Student Awards, Penguin Random House Student Design Awards and the RSA Student Design Awards. Competitions such as these usually offer design placements, workshops and money as prizes. They also provide you with a prompt and an opportunity to answer to that using your design skills. This is good to show in portfolios if you don’t have much client experience yet.
Aside from design skills, it’s also important for designers to have good time management and organisation skills. You are likely to be working on multiple projects at a time and it’s very important that you don’t lose sight of targets and deadlines under pressure. Obviously, time management and organisation are important skills that are needed in any career, but I’m simply emphasising this because not everybody seems to realise this also applies in design.
Be prepared for the possibility of self-employment. Not every designer ends up working at a company. You may want to work as a freelancer, or perhaps you’ll want to set up a business yourself. I’ve found it’s very common for designers to go through the self-employment route, so ensure that you understand that this may be a possibility for you, especially if job roles in companies are limited.
Is being a design student hard? Sure. Do I believe that, with diligence, you can become a good designer? Absolutely.
