The intensity behind Surge's momentum, and poor impulsiveness, would cause her to lurch far too forward when Sonic quickly dodges her punch. She'd hurriedly collect herself, ears and eyes burning in a mixture of embarrassment and anger as she focused her glare towards him again.

"I've got more than problems with you!" She fiercely retorted back, readying her stance again, "and it ain't nothing a stupid talk will fix! Get that through your thick skull!"

       Ah, there it is.

     Sonic anticipates her cracking and side-steps the blow, turning on heel to face her again. "I understand you've got some problems with me," he says, dropping his once playful tone to show his offer is a sincere one. "... but I really think you and I should have a chat!" Preferably one with less punching.

Oh she could not stand him.

Surge would let out a frustrated cry as she immediately charged towards him. Sonic's nonchalant attitude driving the stake of her animosity towards him even deeper with every encounter.

@resurgencee, continued.

       "You think so?" Sonic asks. "Sorry, but no thanks — staying down isn't my style."

     Those fists are exactly the kind of warm welcome he's come to expect from Surge. He seems calm, arms folded behind his head... waiting for her to make the first move. There's no rush! He's got all the time in the world.

i have so many thoughts about surge but my brain is such a mess rn I can't form coherent thoughts. surge, who is fighting for her freedom. she doesn't wanna be someone else's puppet, she doesn't wanna do what she was told to do, she doesn't wanna be who she was designed to be, whoever she was supposed to be. deep down, she knows this is not herself but was she ever someone else? even if she was, she can't remember it. all she knows about herself is that she's a weapon, not a person. she wants to escape that fate. but she falls victim to her own beliefs. she becomes a slave of her own freedom. in this conquest to liberate herself and to be able to find who she is, she becomes exactly what she was made for; a cause of mass destruction, Sonic's enemy, trying to constantly prove she's better than him. she hates sonic. but does she hate him because hes the reason she's this messed up version of herself or has the brainwashing actually worked? does she do things the way she wants to or the way starline intended? has she ever been free? can she ever be free?

Surge would continue to glare in the blue hedgehog's direction as she roughly punched her fists together, electricity sparks flying off as they connected. Her mouth would open up into a snarl as she spoke icly, barely concealing resentment.

"There wouldn't have to be a next time if you would just. stay. down."

relaxation: what does my muse do to relax? do they find it easy to carve out time to relax?

Surge sadly (depending on who you asked) got into the habit of smoking cigerettes whenever she got too stressed/overwhelmed with manging her trauma and keeping a roof over her and Kit's head. It's her go to kick when she finds the time to decompress from everything. In terms of finding time to relax, it's uncommon, but she'll manage to squeeze in a smoke break inbetween jobs when she can.
