I think I enjoy dark academia so much because it allows me to indulge in all my curiosities such as books, art, music, fashion, history, languages, science, maths, poetry and still be conceived as one whole identity. it’s often hard to reconcile all your different interests but it’s nice to be like a person from the renaissance who has a breadth of knowledge and not be forced to choose
