     The air smells different than what it usually does. It’s like the autumn air he waits for before rising from the dust-filled corridors of his rundown castle--but it’s far from autumn. It’s still spring, waning into the warm and long days of summer. So, what was this?      The doctor slips from his spot on the balcony attached to his room, moving through the hallways and down into the atrium. Something wants him awake, to be active despite the time of year.       He throws open the doors, noticing something closer than any had dared get to his home--even the wildlife avoids the premise. A stranger, somebody whom he doesn’t recognize. A traveler? The mad doctor’s curiosity gets the best of him, slowly slipping forward to examine this newcomer closer. He’s dressed only in his labcoat without the vials nor the extra equipment--looking as if he had just woken up with the white hair messier than normal and his golden-orange eyes exposed to the evening light.

“Are they following me because they’re interested in rping or do they just need the follow-back follower count?”

I’ve been seeing this a lot lately and I understand if people get miffed about it. I would be too. And I think it’s a good call to try and interact with folks by calling attention to it.

if I follow you but we never rp, it’s not that i’m using you to get my follower count up.

I’m just rlly bad at making the first move.

Follower count doesn’t mean squat to me since I know that it usually ends up being like, dead blogs I’ll never see again. So yeah. 

This is a post where I’m encouraging you, the reader, to make the first move. Just try and talk to the people you follow, even if you don’t think they’d be interested in rping ( provided you follow their rules on contact, mutuals, ect ). Maybe they wanna rp? Maybe they don’t. Your chances can only increase if you come with an idea to bring to the table, so just try it!

Maybe a friendship will happen, maybe it won’t. But at the VERY LEAST you can say you tried.

    “I didn’t know ya had a birthday--” the doctor quickly cleared his throat, “I mean I know ya were born on some day but didn’t know ye actually knew the exact date.” Junkenstein glanced to his attire, the lab coat covered in dirt and oil from working with his Zomnics most of the day as well as some splatters of dried blood.      He shrugged, adjusting the glove on his hand, “I guess I could accompany ya for this event.” Well, if he had something besides his lab coat.

There’s still a while before Halloween Eve.”

“It’s my birthday.” Angela explained, spinning in her dress and smiling slyly at the Doctor. “So I was planning on seeing how the Mortal world has developed their food since I was a child. I was hoping you’d join me?” She suggested, offering a hand out to him and quirking an eyebrow.
