At the time of this review, I’m 49 years old with short, semi-thin lashes. I have small, hooded eyes and oily skin so finding a mascara that does not rub off onto my orbital bone has been a lifelong series of disappointments. There are only a few mascaras that I can wear and this is one of them. I had no volume, just a few sparse long lashes. It was a terrible look. I was ready to write my scathing review. In preparation, I was going to apply, take pictures and write about how horrible my lashes looked. However, I discovered this mascara is actually great! Turns out, my first application had too much mascara on the brush. I discovered that even after a full hot day and my oily skin, this mascara stays put. It acts like a tube mascara, so it comes off easily with warm water and face soap. The water must be warm. The mascara is buildable as long as you apply coats in pretty close succession...don't let coats fully dry before applying again or it clumps. First two coats go on smoothly and easily. I had regular 5 inch brushed nickel pulls on my cabinets and one day decided I needed to add more pizzazz to them. I started thinking of the cabinet pulls as jewelry for my cabinets. I wanted something modern to go with the rest of our renovated house. They are longer than my original pulls which meant I had to fill in one of the holes from the shorter pull. It was very easy and fast. No one can tell that there used to be a big half inch hole in each cabinet. These pulls are lighter weight than I would’ve thought brushed nickel feels like which makes me think they actually might be aluminum. Nevertheless they look like brushed nickel and installation was very easy. They come with two different sized Phillips head screws in case your cabinets are thicker. My cabinets are not thicker so I was able to use the shorter screw. The project was tedious and challenging but totally worth it. Steps I used are as follows (with lots of drying time in between): sand the tile with 150 grit sandpaper, deep clean, caulk the grout lines to disguise flaws (we had a lot of cracks in grout, 2 coats of bonding primer, 3 coats of base gray chalk paint, 1 coat of stenciled white chalk paint, then fine paint detailing to make the edges sharper since some of the paint bleeds through the stencil (I used a clean old makeup brush). I finished up with 3 coats of Satin finish polyurethane to protect everything. I used spray glue to try and prevent bleeding by spraying the stencil, then rolling on the white paint. Even though I used gorilla spray glue, I had some bleeding so I used the makeup brushes to clean up the edges. The glue was helpful; when I tried without it, the bleeding was much worse. Toward the end, I cut the stencil to make getting around the nooks and crannies easier.
