At the time of this review, I’m 49 years old with short, semi-thin lashes. I have small, hooded eyes and oily skin so finding a mascara that does not rub off onto my orbital bone has been a lifelong series of disappointments. There are only a few mascaras that I can wear and this is one of them. I had no volume, just a few sparse long lashes. It was a terrible look. I was ready to write my scathing review. In preparation, I was going to apply, take pictures and write about how horrible my lashes looked. However, I discovered this mascara is actually great! Turns out, my first application had too much mascara on the brush. I discovered that even after a full hot day and my oily skin, this mascara stays put. It acts like a tube mascara, so it comes off easily with warm water and face soap. The water must be warm. The mascara is buildable as long as you apply coats in pretty close succession...don't let coats fully dry before applying again or it clumps. First two coats go on smoothly and easily.
