"Well, it's a give and take thing. Do I want people to waste my time? No. Do I want to waste their time? Most of the time, no. Depends if I like them or not." A minor chuckle parts from her pink lips.

"It's nice knowing you like hanging out with me too. I'm not always the...cheeriest of companions. For obvious reasons." A soft smile is thrown up towards Atieno as a result.

"Huh. I remember when me and other emotions would look up and wonder what all this stuff was back in the day. Despite how old we are....we don't really know a lot. Is that weird?"

"That makes sense. And I also get just wanting to be considerate of other people's time." While Atieno isn't opposed to the occasionally slightly late arrival for an event or so - they genuinely do like to be timely so that they can adjust and prepare for what the social situation calls for.

"You're very welcome. It's nice to know that you enjoy hanging out." It's a sweet sentiment, one that they don't really take for granted.

"Hm, that seems to be Draco, the Cat's Eye Nebula is contained within that constellation."

"Eileen, huh?" Definitely seems like the friendly but absent-minded type of person. Eh, she'll take it. It's not the worst thing she's dealt with after all!

"Why you're talking with the one and only, Disgust." Hands flip her hair slightly as she shows off. "I know, I know. It's probably a little odd seeing an emotion around but you'll get used to it. Everyone does eventually."

Indeed . These moments happen but , not everyone understands the severity of them let alone how often they occur . Stimulation is one thing , but lack of focus plays into her attempt to lead her new friend elsewhere . Imagining other places they could do to in the latter if all goes well .

Her green eyes roll in response to Ava's pushback. What a timid fidgeting girl! Some serious work is going to be needed on her to boost up that confidence. But it probably won't be easy. "You're more than welcome to just throw it in the trash can if you want. I think you look cute though."

The camera is set aside now. "You feel better now though, don't you?" Maybe not emotionally but at least physically! Hopefully, anyway.

Ava tries to stay still while the pictures are being taken, she doesn't think she does any good at doing so, being as prone to fidgeting as she is. "You don't have to-" She starts to say, absolutely not wanting to see herself in print. It wasn't nearly the same, but she was still sort of thinking about everything.

"Don't worry about it." She couldn't have known, it was fine. "It happens, just... Yeah. Figured I'd say something." At least that way they could each try to keep it from happening again.

"Mmmhhmm. If you're always late for something, then people will stop inviting you to things. I certainly don't want that happening to me!" Not that she gets invited to a lot of things to begin with...which just motivates her to be there early anyway. Everything just works out.

The emotion blinked in response. The notion brings a soft little smile across her pink lips. "Aw, thanks. It's been enjoyable hanging out with you too. I quite like it." One leg crossed over the other as she stared up as well.

"So like, do you know what that one is up there?" A finger points towards one of the patterns.

Now that they knew that Disgust was comfortable and adjusted, Atieno returned their attention to looking at the stars. They were already making out some of the patterns that they had seen - and how they had shifted due to the seasons.

Besides, it was deeply relaxing for them to be at ease under the night sky. It was their area, their realm - that which they had known before so many places.

"Ah, yes. There is something to be said for timeliness. You're very welcome. It's nice to be able to enjoy a good viewing with you .. always a pleasure to hang out when I can. "

That's just how she was usually. If she wanted help, then Disgust would simply ask for it.

The green emotion makes herself comfortable before looking up. It brings back memories of when she would do this with all the others throughout the ages. Just them and enjoying their time together. Some days she missed that. Like, a lot.

"Well, better to arrive early than late I always say. Thanks for inviting me by the way, Atieno."

Although it wasn't likely that Disgust would accept their help, Atieno did feel a bit of a habit to at least offer it. She didn't have to accept it - which .. she didn't. Not terribly surprising when Disgust was often insistent on doing much on her own terms.

"No, you didn't miss much - just the sky starting to get even darker. It should be a little bit before the viewing really starts."

Disgust huffed as she attempted to drag the chair that was needed for their little outing. She certainly wasn't going to sit on the grass that's for certain! Alas, being only three feet tall didn't do Disgust any favors.

"Ugh!" She finally brings herself beside Atieno and clambers herself onto it to rest. "I didn't miss anything, did I?" Disgust asked as she looked up towards the night sky.

Fingers were already working the camera to take a few pictures. That's good enough. "A few for them to marvel and be jealous about. Heh. I'll save one for you too when I print these out."

"Oh." A hand idly scratches at her chin as a twinge of regret hits her. "Sorry, I guess. Didn't mean for it to cut deep. Just bring things to light." At least she was able to apologize for it.

Being blunt was definitely fine, an admirable quality, and Ava probably did need to hear it be said like that, even if she doesn't like it. Probably because she didn't like it, actually.

The picture is fine though, that gets a nod from Ava as she starts to smile a little.

"Just... Poor choice of words with the blunt-ness, I guess? Hit a little too close to home in the worst way... I get what you meant, though."

"Um, then just keep extra water on you? Here."

Seemed like a simple enough solution to her. In fact, she already had a water bottle in hand and held it up for the other non-human entity.

"Trust me, you can't smell any more worse than what these humans already do! Ugh! Some of them you have to stand ten feet away or else run the risk of gagging! So relax, alright?"

Pink lips twitch ever so slightly as she thinks about how to respond to his claims. Technically, he wasn't wrong but he also wasn't right either. It was...complicated. "Let me rephrase that actually so it makes more sense for you. We aren't inherently good or bad. Every emotion has a part to play despite what one might think."

When one took control over all the rest, rather than working together as one, that's when things got messy. "That's when you feel too much of one. There's a balance to this and when that happens other emotions are either pushed to the side or...warped." To put it lightly.

"Their life choices and experiences probably pushed them to that then." Disgust shrugged. "Listen, we have our jobs and we do them. If there weren't bad people around then would good people ever show up? It all goes right back into a cycle, you see. Are you following me still?"

the dragonling's expression loosens , crisscrossing in confusion as his prodding questioning halts momentarily . neither good nor bad ?? but -- weren't there good and bad feelings ? how could things be ... neither here nor there ?

“ but what about being jealous ? ” he queries . “ and all those that make you mean ? what about hate ? ”

even happy little dragons feel bad emotions sometimes , but that's why he has to be better ! he doesn't want to be bad like that mean old a.rktos and all the others that want everyone else to be miserable .

The emotion rolls her eyes as she follows behind the other. Hopefully, it was clear Disgust had little patience for tomfoolery and having her time wasted. If she wanted to get somewhere then she wanted to accomplish that now. Though as she walks, she does realize she hasn't gotten the other's name yet.

"What's your name? You haven't shared it yet."

Not a good time to have your head in the clouds . Specially when you offered to socialize with someone new . Nevertheless she clears her throat , wandering ahead with a muttered apology .

Lips purse ever so slightly at the notion. She'll take that answer she supposes. At least that one has some logic behind it. Disgust waves it all off with a wave of her hand.

"Fine. At least let me take a picture so I can show my friends my handywork."

Some people definitely did, Ava just wasn't one of those people. Maggie probably would have been a more willing candidate, and Ava might have tagged along if her once-friend was there. But she wasn't, so Ava was left to her own devices.

"Y'don't have to be so blunt about it..." Of course she was. For a slightly different reason, though, and she winces at the attempt at boosting her confidence. "People are afraid of me, for very understandable reasons. I... Also don't like them, though. 'M not a fan of crowds especially."
