taking a day off my airplane fixing job to go ride in a very rare plane- the gorgeous B-29 Doc! i am, of course, absolutely hyped.

might not be able to go to sun n fun or oshkosh this year, but goddamn it i'm at least going to make the most of my more local airshows!

Today's plane return-into-service is scrapped in the eleventh hour due to a combination of the customer's own maintenance personnel screwing up their own paperwork and the peculiarities of our 25 year old maintenance tracking software.

Which leads to me waiting on the ramp for three hours (to guide the leaving plane out of our ramp) for nothing. At least the weather's nice today, and I got an excuse to watch the runway while on the clock!
