I was falling down the rabbit hole of royal tumblr like I do often, and stumbled into the ugliness of the Diana vs. Camilla arguments until I found your page, and I just wanted to say I really appreciate your perspective! It's classy that you love Camilla while also giving Diana her due. People are so petty and mean all around, they want to force you to take sides, when the reality is that it was a very messy and highly complicated situation where all three people involved made mistakes and hurt each other and others. I'm sure they all had/have regrets. Real life isn't a movie with clear-cut heroes and villains. It's much more nuanced and grey. Charles, Camilla and Diana are all complex human beings, they've done good and bad things just like every single one of us. Turning a discussion about real human beings into a fandom war is just weird as hell. I know this is rambly but in closing I appreciate ur thoughtfulness ☺️

The women’s day pictures are something to take issue with

They really weren’t. First, Charles and Camilla did not make that post.

Second, has Catherine ever sat for an official solo portrait taken by a female photographer? No. So she couldn’t be in there as someone who’s had their photo taken.

Third, Catherine has only taken one official set of solo photos of a senior royal - the pictures she took for Country Living of Camilla. They aren’t royal photos. They’re magazine shots. So she couldn’t be in the post as a photographer.

Finally, no one outside of this fandom knows or cares about an Instagram post the communication team working for the royal family posted for International Women’s Day.
