It's hilarious how this fandom acts like Beetee, a grown ass man, didn't build the bomb that killed Prim and innocent Capitol children despite knowing exactly how losing a child feels. and instead y'all constantly bash Gale, a TEENAGE BOY who witnessed an attempted genocide of his people for coming up with the plan as if Beetee isn't just as guilty.

I'm not team Gale by any means, but you guys need to get over your biases and stop acting like he's the literal devil. If you can excuse Beetee, a grown man who, again, knows how losing a child feels, you can sympathize with a teenage boy.

my controversial hunger games opinion (other than all the gale stuff lol) is that a lot of people wouldn’t give the slightest shit about prim if she hadn’t died.

and honestly, the only reason so many people care about her death now is because gale is connected to it. if people weren’t able to use prim’s death as a battering ram in the “ship wars” they would care a whole lot less about it.

the thing about the hunger games is prim was always meant to die. She should’ve starved to death, but Katniss intervened. She should’ve been killed in the arena, but Katniss intervened. She should’ve died in the district 12 bombing, but Gale intervened. She should’ve died in the district 13 bombing, but Gale intervened. Then the circle closes when Katniss is too slow, too helpless to do anything against the bombs in the Capitol. Prim dies like she was always meant to. There's nothing Katniss can do.
