I’m all for conversations about how white-dominated tumblr is, but some of these posts (by white people) are starting to sound like “sometimes I can still hear their voices” about users of colour, as if there aren’t still non-white blogs here. Like, yes, do talk about how hostile tumblr has become to non-white users because that is an important conversation to acknowledge, but don’t act like you can just wipe your hands of the guilt by lamenting about how you’re blogging in an “ethnostate” instead of actually working on supporting the poc who are still here?? If your tumblr experience feels like a whites only club, that’s kind of on you, and you should maybe start asking yourself why your blog isn’t being interacted with by poc and vice versa, particularly if you’re a fandom blog. Are you reblogging artwork, writings, contributions by poc? Are you treating them like people as opposed to your personal teachers? Are you constantly self-flagellating about how white you are instead of sitting down and shutting up when the conversation isn’t about you?

Like, there is a huge problem with how white-centric this site is but don’t turn it into a self-fulfilling prophecy by erasing the poc who are still here and not having their voices listened to.

in Disco Elysium I was expecting there to be some kind of “addiction mechanic” that would add a long-term downside to taking drugs, and was surprised not only by the absence of any such mechanic but also that the benefits of drugs greatly outweighed the cost. anyways fast forward to the late game and I was downing three bottles of pyrholidon and smoking an entire pack of cigarettes before attempting any check, and it was only then I realized there was in fact an addiction mechanic
