you know, in some alternate timeline where FFXIV didn't have such a rocky start, and SCH wasn't chained by the ankles to SMN, i could see SCH's weapon being a warfan/gunbai
#ffxiv#ffxiv scholar#it fits with their battlefield tactician theme#you can make some lore connections because it resembles a marauder axe or fairy wings#hell some of the current SCH animations still work if the weapon was a fan#and while SCH naturally implies book#some of the newer classes have broken away from that#*looks at SGE*#its unfortunate that SE probably wont make any massive changes like that though#oh well just another item to add to my dream SCH rework list

My favorite little detail about the M5 fight (both normal and savage modes) is that when you pull the boss there's a record scratch that resets the OST and syncs it to the fight.
