"Soon see?" Rhyme cocked her head to the side a little. "Oh, umm, my name is Rhyme! It's a pleasure to meet you. Where did you come from?"
rhymetothebeat:
"Whoa, whoa! Hello there everybody! How’s it going?" Rhyme waved at the people who came up to her with a cheerful smile. It seemed like they just reached the Island.

Yup! I'm back. My sister will be in the hospital for a couple of weeks but I think I can help with her postings. I'm not gonna reply as Xion per se but I'll draft her response... Or something. Expect more activity from me than her though! Heheh. For those that are worried, she's COMPLETELY fine. Just her allergies got the better of her. This happens almost all the time when she gets fever. She doesn't usually get medicine but it was quite high this time round that a result like this was expected.
Ahhhh... I'm gonna sleep alone tonight T_T Come home soon, sis.

Rhyme thought for a moment about his answer and she silently agreed that it would be better for her to keep her hair the way it was... unless she decides that it was time to make it long. It would seem appropriate that way.
"Contraceptions?" she cocked her head to the side, unsure of what it is he was talking about. "Oh! Is your hometown somewhat simpler? With beautiful fields and hills and valleys and flowers?" She loved the sound of that. It sounded a little like Iceland, or at least that's what she saw in the internet back home.
He blinked and smiled softly, shaking his head. “It’s never bothered me. I just keep it tied back when I put on my helmet.” He couldn’t even remember the last time he’d had his hair cut. Probably before the loss of his father. “Honestly I can’t even remember the last time I had short hair.” Though it seemed she was entirely too used to having short hair to ever think of having it long - a pair of opposites they were.
“Well you’ve been here longer than I have and I have to say that the temperature here is pretty similar to my home.”

She blinked a couple of times. "Do you think I should grow my hair? I think I'd like to know what it feels like to have long hair... I cut my hair a lot because I like it short but it seems like some girls of my age like to cut them if they had their hearts broken or something? My culture is really strange," she sighed.
"My homeland is much much hotter than this... I'm kind of glad though. Now i'm used to the heat! Even if I'm wearing such a thick and long sweater." Rhyme giggled to herself. She likes this big man!
Even the cold, calculating, time-hardened dragoon couldn’t resist chuckling a little at her offer. Shaking his head slightly and lifting an armored hand to remove his draconic helm, he smiled at her. His other hand reached up to remove the tie in his hair and release the long blonde hair that he kept tied back. “I’m afraid I’ve never seen those before. They seem pretty good.” He didn’t want to offend her and so he took one - green in color - and popped it into his mouth, strangely satisfied by the taste.
“I’m afraid I have no idea which season it is here. I have only just arrived.”

Rhyme blushed at the expense of the man's hair. "Mr. Commander, you have such long hair! Isn't it a little bothersome if you had to go to battle?" She bit her lip, thinking, she never had long hair since Beat thought it was a hassle and did not suit her at all so she would always wear her hair short. This made her old classmates thought that she was a boy. She didn't mind but it seemed pretty cool to have long hair.
"It's summer right now, I believe. I just came to MoogleTown a few weeks ago, myself and it has been hot ever since!"
That brought an almost unnoticeable smile to the dragoon’s lips as she sat there scolding him. “I’ll have you know, little one, that I am trained to survive in this armor under any conditions imaginable. You’d be surprised how comfortable it is.” He was lying about comfortable but there was no need to bother this child with that. “As for what I’m thinking, it isn’t exactly anything you need concern yourself with. I promise.”

Of course Rhyme wasn't convinced but she thought it was pointless asking for more so she took out some snacks she had with her and offered it as a sign of peace... or maybe just to let him know that she wasn't really mad. "These are really good. The red one tastes sweeter but I like the yellow ones most because they're much more sour. There's the purple one and green one but don't take those, they taste horrible."
Rhyme popped on in her mouth and smiled at the big man. She took of her beanie and fanned herself with it. "Phew looking at you in that big armour's making me horrible hot... Summer's solstice is approaching... or has it approached?"
Rhyme placed her hands to her hips and  gave the man the most stern face she could manage; which… wasn’t much really. “Mr. Commander, aren’t you hot in that armor? I have a feeling you’re lying about how you feel, I mean, you just stumbled here from nothing!” Rhyme didn’t want to annoy this man but it seemed appropriate for her to worry. “You remind me like someone I know, he’s also very quiet and wouldn’t let people know what he’s thinking.”

Rhyme looked up to the man. He doesn’t seem to be someone who’d be willing to speak all that much. This might take a while… He’s kinda like Neku! “Commander? That’s a pretty high rank, you got there!” she giggled. “How are you feeling?”

Rhyme put a finger on her lip and thought for a moment. What world is this in? Well I'm a long way away from Japan, that's for sure. "I'm sorry miss, I might not be much of help because I clearly don't know where this is. I know it's far away from anything we've ever known though! I woke up near the beach and could not remember anything that happened before falling asleep?" Rhyme rocked at her heels for a moment before recalling her place. "Oh, uhh, my name is Rhyme! Nice to meetcha!"

Rhyme sat down beside Garnet and took the menu book with a small 'Thank you,' she flipped open several pages and realized that it looked more or less the same, albeit some have fishes she's never heard of. "Garnet... I'm not sure which ones to order. I've never heard of some of these fishes and quite unsure how to pronounce them. I'll probably get some salmon and tuna sushi but... won't it be nice to try the others?"
Rhyme put a finger on her lip while her free hand toyed with her bell. She wasn’t quite sure how travelling works since she doesn’t travel outside from Japan but as she remembered the strange foreigners that come often and ask her for directions, she thinks she could explain at least a little. “Well, from what I know, they also have this booth called “Money Changer” and the clerks inside switch the current money you have to the money that suits the country. It is quite troublesome! Especially with the different values each country possess. I’m not quite sure myself where my currency stands…” she trailed off, a little disappointed that she couldn’t explain further.
Oh, Rhyme knows Sushi and it’s one of her favourite food. “Yes, please!” she exclaimed with enthusiasm. “I love sushi! They have it in my world too although I’m pretty sure the taste will be different here. Where should we go? I think its best for you to lead the way, Miss Garnet!”

Rhyme thought for a moment. She probably had nowhere to stay but she really wanted to look around the streets and see what it was like at night... "Well, I just came here so I might probably eat and rest up at the inn but I kinda wanna see how the streets are like at night. My partner loves to hang out at night so perhaps I'll find more luck at that hour?" Rhyme smiled at Lenne. It wasn't a lie but she couldn't impose so much on the older girl.
She shook her head. Somehow Rhyme could feel that Beat’s presence is no longer in this world. Knowing that partner of hers, he’s probably off to find a place to sightsee and “look” for Rhyme along the way. He may be a trouble maker but he’s got a heart. Especially when Rhyme is involved.
“I’m alright, Lenne. Sorry that you had to come all this way with me,” Rhyme gave her an apologetic smile. “Would you like to have something to eat instead? The inn would be a nice place to search and eat.”

Rhyme looked at the coins in her hands. There was a pig-like animal with wings on the face of the coin and on the other side, there was something that looked like a warrior. So this is “gil”? It certainly is different from the yen coin she uses back in Japan. Rhyme thought for a moment and searched her pockets.
“Oh! Here we go! Look, Garnet! This is what I used in my world.” Rhyme produced a coin with a hole in the middle and some writing on the sides. “The currency for my world is Yen. Although my world is divided into a bunch of other countries and we use different currencies for each of them. Quite a hassle, isn’t it?”
Rhyme smiled and nodded. It was beyond doubt that she was hungry. “Where should we go? Is there any place you have in mind?”
