it’s almost poetic that the first race of the season is as chaotic as 2020 has been

These drivers are making it to be so deep (which it is), but it comes down to one simple issue:
The only POC driver on the grid asked you to kneel down and support him by visibly showing "I recognize the issue you're facing on the daily and by taking a knee I want to let you know you are not alone"
Instead they be out there writing massive essays on why facing their privilege makes them uncomfortable

Verstappen, Giovinazzi, Kvyat, Sainz, Leclerc and Kimi stood - everyone else took a knee

how tf can formula one launch an entire ‘we race as one’ movement but then twenty drivers can’t collectively kneel down as one against racism

“I’m one of the only people of colour there yet I stand alone” the audacity of them all to even look at Lewis in the face after he wrote this

I’m confused about where taking a knee would be controversial, I’m thinking Russia because it’s Russia but I’m not sure where else? Okay it may lose you a few racist fans but they’re racists, why would you want them supporting you?
