In my head everything that happens within It happens as usual except Stan’s suicide attempt failed (barely) and he is in a coma for a while and Eddie’s heart stopped for a minute but then he was fine because of the turtle or whatever and crawled out the sewers himself (a la his impeccable navigation skills) so everyone lives actually.

tell me this is not eddie kaspbrak. you can’t, that is literally the most eddie image i have ever seen.

can we walk about how richie was bullied so hard for so many things including his appearance and sexuality, and he struggled with those things years and years into his adulthood. he grew up and never got married and even got a nose job and ditched his glasses for contacts. he grew up in a homophobic town while secretly being in love with his best friend, and then when he goes back to said homophobic town he revisits his past where he was called slurs and ridiculed for being gay, then pennywise proceeded to taunt him about his sexuality even more. we also dont talk enough about richies obvious anxiety, he literally vomits often because of it. then richie watches his life long crush get stabbed in front of him and then holds him in his arms as he bleeds out, and he is forced to leave his body in the place that brought them life ruining terror. he goes back to the kissing bridge to recarve their names to immortalize Eddie. Ben and Bev get to be happy together, Bill and Audra get to be happy together, Mike gets to leave Derry for a better life. Richie gets no happy ending, they all of course have life long trauma, but still have happy endings. Richie will never recover from this like the others might, Richie has no saving grace.

The next IT movie remake where theyre teens in the 2000’s is gonna end with young Mike scrolling 27 years in his phone calendar and adding “IT back maybe?” For the beginning of summer and then cuts to him waking up in a cold sweat 27 years later to his phone blaring that calendar notif to him and a news report on the tv saying a new kid has gone missing
