Some thoughts on Rick and Morty: Season 8, Episode 1

I really think the artists nailed it with the design of adult Morty. There have been several adult designs throughout the years, and I liked how they made him look adult and gritty enough without losing his boyishness.

Yes, this particular concept has been done before, but the story was engaging, funny, and unique enough that I really didn’t care.

I thought the animation of Rick jumping into the nuclear reactor was beautifully done.

This episode highlights that Summer is definitely Rick’s protege.

Love that the writers paid off a season one joke with Summer retreating to Santa Fe.

Morty building a bulldozer to attack a nuclear reactor is based on true events. Look up Marvin Heemeyer. It’s a wild story.

Can we please remember that the rick we know ( Rick c 137 ) IS the one who was gonna give up his whole science thing for his FAMILY??? until Rick prime killed his family???

can we also remember that Rick C 137 also spent his whole life trying find Rick prime so he can kill him for what he did to HIS family??

Yeah, Rick C137 isn’t that good of a father but lets remember that he saw the love of his life and his own daughter DIE infront of him while he had to stand and do nothing. give him a little slack, Don’t give him too much because he still decided to treat everyone like shit for something that wasn’t even their fault
