really, all Clea did to Painted Clea was make her doppelganger accurate

she made Painted Clea a Paintress, first of all - the most important facet of herself, of course

she put Painted Clea to work, work, work, work for the family

she took Painted Clea from her loved ones and stashed her away, alone except for a ghost, in a broken-down empty mansion

she made Painted Clea an empty husk of a woman with her life torn apart not by the loss of her brother, but by the bastardization of his memory

(but even Clea couldn't completely erase the spirit inside of a woman screaming for freedom and self-determination)
