I was very happy to see the photo of the title page of the script for Season 3, episode 2 of TWDCaryl today. I love the Spanish title of the episode, and I'm very excited to see what that's about. But the biggest excitement for me was seeing that episode 2 is written by David Zabel and Jason Reichman, who wrote episodes 4, 5, and 6 of The Book Of Carol and all those amazing, beautiful Caryl scenes and moments. Those episodes were so, so, good. They did a wonderful job with them. So to know they are the writers behind what appears to be an important episode in season 3, judging by tracking spoilers, is very exciting to me, and I can't wait to see it next year. Then, to have Dan Percival directing it as well, it really couldn't get much better. Those 3 plus Mel and Norman working together to create the story in this episode and bring it to life is going to bring a great end result.

I can't believe this even needs to be said, but here we are. If you don't want Candela's character to be overshadowed by speculation about her characters relationship with Daryl having a sexual or romantic connection of ANY sort, then don't overshadow her by doing exactly that. Don't do it even if you don't care whether or not her character gets overshadowed. Candela is 20! She (as herself, not her character) took some selfies on set with Norman, and suddenly, some of you are jumping to immediately view her character in a sexual way in relation to Daryl and coming up with gross theories and fabricated situations to support it & then immediately blaming the men around her for it. Those are your disgusting theories & situations, and you alone are responsible for them, so own them. Some things should never leave your head, and if they do, then they definitely shouldn't leave your drafts.

Not me, AGAIN, thinking about Norman tearing up on the panel when saying that Daryl sees the one person he needs.

All of this. Melissa is a strong, independent woman in her 50s who is more than capable of making her own decisions in life. How many times does she have to say that she's happy to be back, loves Norman, loves working with Norman, missed working with Norman, and is really excited about the spinoff and where it's heading. She shouts it from the roof tops at every opportunity she gets. How many times does Norman have to say that he loves Melissa, loves working with Melissa, missed Melissa, and is really happy to have her back. He shouts it from the roof tops and demonstrates it at every chance he gets.
Also, infantilising and victimising a strong independent woman like some on here do every single day is beyond offensive.
The reason I haven't been around is that I have been out enjoying real life and not trying to be an amateur therapist for two actors who seem very happy with the way their project is heading.
Seriously, quit infantilizing Melissa McBride. Quit making her a victim of the patriarchy when she seems to be very happy with the way things are going.
Seriously, please keep your promises to go away from the show and quit watching. But the narcissist in you (see I can quasi diagnose people as well) needs to hang around the fandom and gaslight those of us who look forward to season 3.
I will crawl back in my real-life zen and enjoy other shows and sports that I have gotten into. Know that I will never give up on Caryl, but I am on my last thread with this gatekeeping fandom.

we were absolutely robbed of this moment. this is how Norman Reedus played it. does this look like a man conflicted about going home or staying in France with his "new family?" nahhhh. this looks like a man of honor who just couldn't leave a kid to fend for himself while he made his way back home. and this is how frustrated he was. that's a FUCK EVERYTHING moment. Daryl lost the one opportunity he thought he had to get back home to Carol...

I don't think I'm ever gonna get tired of hearing Melissa and Norman say how happy they are to have Carol and Daryl back together. Or how happy they are to be working together again & how much they love working together. Or how much they missed each other and how much they love each other. It's like they grab hold of every single opportunity they get to say it and show it, and I love them for it. They have such a special and beautiful bond and friendship, and I love that we get to witness and experience small parts of it.
The way Mel thanked Norman on the panel at NYCC when she was talking about what it's like and what they do when they film scenes together made me tear up, just seeing how much it means to them both. Then, with how emotional they both got when they were talking about their beautiful reunion scene. I feel so lucky that we have them both, and I'm very grateful that they are putting their hearts and souls into this spinoff for us all, and obviously, for the rest of the team that is making the magic happen, too.
My heart is full of appreciation, gratitude, and love ❤️ 😍

That Didi and Theo dancing with Caryl watching on scene was perfect. The entire Didi and Theo part of the story gives me so much hope and excitement for what's to come for Caryl's relationship.
I've been thinking the same thing regarding Remy and what Carol may have told him about who Daryl was to her. I do believe she told him that Daryl was her husband. That would make the most sense based on what we did see her tell others and why she chose to tell them what she did. So it's interesting that her telling Remi who Daryl was to her was the only one we didn't get to say, and that was definitely a deliberate choice, and it makes me think that it's possibly because she did admit her true feelings for Daryl to Remi, which would be very obvious and easy to see as them being her real feelings and not a lie.
Zabel Appreciation Post
Okay, let's all share one thing that Zabel did with or in The Book Of Carol that you liked, loved, or thought he got right.
It could be a favourite scene that Zabel wrote. It could be a creative choice that he made. It could be to do with the storylines, arcs, or characters more generally, including his original characters. It could even be giving us hot as hell Ash in that cool ass plane!
The only rule is it must be something positive. This is an appreciation post only. If you have nothing positive or nice to say about Zabel, this is not the post for you, so please scroll past. All negative comments & reposts will be deleted - you have your own posts for negative comments.
I'll start. I absolutely loved all the fun and comedy moments Zabel wrote. In particular, I loved the car scene when Caryl were bickering like an old married couple. It was absolutely hilarious. Also, the field scene when Carol was trying to convince Daryl she needed to go into Ash on her own and then nearly took her eye out on the tree/bush as she rushed to get past him to get in front.
Reply or repost with yours. I'm excited to read them.

That scene was heart breakingly beautiful. It really tore at my heart strings. The way Carol looked at Daryl and then Daryl responding with, "I know," was an incredibly emotionally powerful and important moment between them. ❤️🔥🥹

What positive Carylers are not:
Naive/delusional
Sunshine and rainbow Positive Polly’s who see everything as glass half full people (trust me, that doesn’t describe me in ANY way lol)
Someone who must not have watched the entire series.
Stans for any particular character & pretending certain plot lines didn’t happen, because SHOCKER, 90% don’t like/love all aspects of the storylines.
What they are:
Regular people whom through their own personal experiences and POVs use critical thinking to come to a conclusion about how they see things/what things mean.
Shippers as much as anyone else even though they don’t agree or follow along with a cause.
Individuals who are entitled to have & share their feelings publicly without being told moments later in comments/tags/reshares/anonymous posts how they are wrong. (Don’t her me wrong, healthy debate is great when that is the actual intended purpose)
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion; not one has to agree on everything and it goes both ways. We should let people have their feeling’s without needing to insert our own. There’s enough toxicity in the world as it is. If you need to bolster your own opinion by putting someone else’s down, was yours really that strong?

I swear, ya'll, the Caryl fandom used to be FUN! and welcoming. It used to be articulate, finding nuance and depth, and seeing the bigger picture. It used to understand that playing the media is just a game, and the enjoyment of Caryl, in Caryl, was watching the magic created onscreen between these two.
Now, it's become a toxic cesspool that spends more time shitting on the creator and writers and actor(s), missing the forest for the trees all because it didn't fit the story, the arc, the plan, the preconceived notion that ya'll had in mind. Instead, too many of you are following the direction of hiveminds who haven't even bothered to WATCH THE DAMN SHOW!!!
Instead, too many have taken their direction from mighty on high Carylers who did watch the leaked 2nd season with the determined stance to hate it no matter what, spilled that hate, and soaked it up as gospel. Ya'll didn't bother to form your own opinions, but rather joined the hivemind of hate.
Congratulations! Ya'll have turned the Caryl fandom--once a beacon of light and positivity lasting over a DOZEN FUCKING YEARS!--into yet another negative space where positive voices have to struggle to be heard because the angry toxicity wins out every time. Congratulations! You win!
#Thankyou for being the one to say this#it needed to be said#The Caryl tag turned into an anti tag#Posting about enjoying the spinoff results you in getting told you must be a positive glass half full person#Erm I just enjoyed the show#Season 2 was great#I can't wait for season 3#So much Caryl goodness

One week on from the Season Finale airing, and I can't stop thinking about all the beautiful Caryl scenes we got in those final 3 episodes once they were reunited. There were so many scenes that I'd been hoping to get for years. It was a feast worthy of a Royal Banquet.
The reunion, obviously. That goes without saying, really. The raw emotion that poured out of them both, the sheer relief that they were together. The undeniable feeling that in those few moments, everything was right with the world. The fighting going on around them falling away until it was just them. It topped Terminus for me.
The bickering like an old married couple while they were fixing the car. That was so much fun and something I'd wanted to see them do for a long time.
The entire section with Didi and Theo and Carol and Daryl's interactions with them and with each other. Especially the sweet glance they shared when Didi and Theo started dancing.
Carol immediately understanding why Daryl was so frantic after Isabelle's death the second she realised the person Isabelle asked Daryl to take care of was a child and that the child might be in danger. The way as soon as she understood that she knew exactly the right thing to say and what Daryl needed from her to be able to calm down and think straight. It was a really beautiful moment between them.
The fun convo they shared about high school French classes.
Daryl being protective and not wanting Carol to go in on her own to Ash and telling her she didn't need to take dumb risks and then her quipping back about how did he think she found him. Then Carol having to come clean and admit she had lied to Ash and Daryl immediately killing the sibling narrative once and for all by him immediately worrying she told Ash he was her brother, like that was the worst thing he could think she could have said.
The fact they are finally talking about stuff is everything. It's been such a long time coming & was very much needed. I loved how they handled that side of the story and to see Daryl being exactly what Carol needed him to be.
It had everything from humour/comedic moments right through the spectrum to the deep emotional scenes, and I loved it all. Some of my favourite Caryl moments ever have come from these 3 episodes, and I'm truly grateful to David Zabel & Jason Richman for writing them, and I'm excited to see what they're writing for season 3.

it’s that smile when he realizes he’s not alone, Carol did not leave, she couldn’t so she stayed, and together they’ve given a kid a chance at a relatively normal life.
