nanowrimo

So I’m doing my first ever nanowrimo.  My protagonist is a kind of gross, mildly psychopathic adolescent girl called Heather Simm.  Heather has had a tough life and decides her deadbeat dad is the source of all her misery.  Heather’s mother is actually very verbally and emotionally abusive to her but she doesn’t know any different and assumes it’s normal because why wouldn’t she?  Heather’s dad’s new wife falls pregnant just as Heather feels at her lowest point and using teen logic she decides to wreak her revenge on shitty dad by causing her step mother to lose her baby.  I’m not sure what happens after that to be honest but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.  *manic face*

I want to write a story about the dark side of teenage girlhood with a dislikeable protagonist.  Girls are trained to be pretty and good but I want to  relish in creating someone realistic but deplorable.  Judy Blume meets Stephen King.
