North Journal Entry #7
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Half-elf cleric, North:
The Cloud Giant’s Tower, Felgalos Arrives…
We were told it was going to take another 20 days to get to Bryn Shander. I’m starting to go stir crazy as I have very few things to keep me occupied. I don’t much like being in this tower. Thank goodness for Leif to keep me company…but even he is getting a little stir crazy. I think I lost him for a day or so but he returned and wasn’t hurt. I envied him.
Today was finally some of the excitement I was hoping for. An old friend happened to this cloud! Felgalos brought some Dwarves who were quite rude. I wanted to say hello to my old friend but they wouldn’t let me near him.
Anyways, as the Dwarves insisted on going inside and talking with the Giant, I just lurked in the back. It seemed like the conversation was getting heated so when that happened, I jumped in. I guess I was sort of eavesdropping but I didn’t exactly trust them wholeheartedly either. They spoke of things I did not understand but were a part of Bradok’s history. We learned a little bit about a “Fake King” and how Bradok was outcast from his family. That must have been hard, probably wears on him more than he lets on. It took a lot of convincing to get the Dwarves to leave us alone, but we finally did it.
It can be such a cold, lonely world. I can see why he’s so attached to his donkey. I’ll be giving Leif a few extra kisses tonight.

Bravoquarx Journal Entry #7
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Elven wizard, Bravoquarx:
Well, that was wonderful! I got to meet the Dragon again! I don't quite remember its name. Thally! We got to talk! There were Dwarves. Usually they're under the mountains, not flying above them. I don't remember why they were here, but one of them knows Brandish! Curious! Two flying Dwarves! Oh, there's a joke there somewhere, yes yes. What a wonderful sheen! The scales dance with light in the sun! Grillion's scales are beautiful, don't get me wrong, but to see a full size--It's absolutely wonderful!

Carrion Journal Entry #12
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Human druid, Carrion:
Written in Druidic
Another grim tiding arrived earlier this week in the form of two envoys from the elemental plane of air. They sought to recruit Zephyros to the cause of Yan-C-Bin, prince of the plane. Thankfully I had not misjudged Zephyros and he turned them away, though I wish he had opposed them outright. Yan-C-Bin seeks to extend his rule to our plane and I can only guess on the ruin that wreak upon the Balance. The Enclave will need to hear of this as well- when the opportunity arrives I will send word.
The news of giant activity has most certainly spread. A bunch of Dwarves showed up on the back of Felgolos, it seemed as though they wanted to interrogate Zephyros and not just with their words. Good that it was Felgolos otherwise I feel it would have come to blood immediately. Their leader, a female dwarf- as stubborn as any dwarf, recognized Bradok from his previous walk of life. He didn't talk about it a whole lot before now, not that any of us have really been forthcoming.
From what he revealed, his King has been replaced by some kind of creature that looks just like him. Whatever is controlling the creature tried to have Bradok assassinated, likely they knew that he was aware of the scheme. If it's true and Citadel Adbar has been compromised, the Enclave should know about it.
Bradok has mostly been keeping to himself before and since the encounter. I find him to be an obtuse fellow, truly puzzling. His words and actions at odds with each other- saying he wants to find a place to call his own and help people along the way, but then stealing from Nightstone and refusing to help it's people mend their ruined town. I don't trust him, not when I can't be certain it's not intentional deception on his behalf.

North Journal Entry #6
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Half-elf cleric, North:
The Cloud Giant’s Tower, Late Autumn
Well, things certainly haven’t gotten dull around here! It was not but a few days later that some trouble came knocking on the door to the tower.
These stuck up cultists found their way to Zephyros and had the gall to try and bully him into submission! They talked about YON C BIN being some master that is calling upon aid. They were talking about scary things, like turning the world back to its primordial air state, and I’m fairly certain they were talking in primordial amongst themselves! They have told us that we have made a mistake by not helping them, but I did gain a tiny bit of respect for Zephryos. Even if he said that his voices told him to not help them. Maybe he is a good guy after all. However, I feel like this may be bringing us some bad luck.
What have we gotten ourselves into?
On the plus side, I did get some pixie dust. I don’t know what I’ll use it for, but I have it.

Carrion Journal Entry #11
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Human druid, Carrion:
Written in Druidic
The wonderment of cloud travel has fallen by the wayside as I’ve been preyed upon by boredom. Tranquil it may be, a forest it is not. No trees for the wind to rustle, no animals to scamper around, no plants! On the thought of plants, my attempts to grow anything up here has gone nowhere. I’ve gotten several seeds to sprout roots, but they don’t take hold within the cloud ‘soil’.
Among us, only Bravo seems to be truly enjoying himself. Especially since Zephyros invited him to a library in the upper levels of the tower.

North Journal Entry #5
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Half-elf cleric, North:
The Cloud Giant’s Tower, Autumn
It has been a few days in the tower. Everyone has been keeping to themselves. I have taken to reading, writing and playing with Leif. My other companions aren’t much my type for conversation.
From what I can gather about Zephyros is that he seems very odd and very wise. He is not completely harmless, but he is friendly with us. He and Bravo seem to get along. It seems like he appeared before us because of some wacky timing. He talks in slow sentences and didn’t ease any of my bad feelings. Zephyros answers in cryptic riddles…I’ve stopped trying to understand and will leave that to Carrion.
As it gets colder I am betting winter comes soon. It seems like it will be harsh and unlike anything I have experienced. While I am excited for the adventure, I wish it was with different company. From what I’ve seen of battle, we may just need to rely a lot on luck… and my healing spells. This news of The Ordening is very unsettling. Wherever giants are, they cause trouble.

Carrion Journal Entry #10
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insights into their experiences. From our Human druid, Carrion:
Written in Druidic
The Ordening, what ever it may be, certainly seems at least somewhat responsible for the shift in the Balance. Although Zephyros wasn’t able to impart much knowledge regarding it, investigation is warranted and so we agreed to travel to Bryn Shander by way of this cloud tower. The Emerald Enclave must also be notified when the chance arrives.
The speed which we float towards Bryn Shander is almost dizzying, but Zephyros believes it will take at least several weeks more and he would know. Sprawling forests and fields stretch in every direction, drifting lazily beneath as we soar high above. Now I need not wonder how a bird must feel as they sail the winds.
Exploring around the outside of the tower was rather disappointing. I’ve concluded no plants grow within the ‘soil’ of this cloud, I have tried to plant a few different seeds to see if any of them take root.

North Journal Entry #4
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Half-elf cleric, North:
The Cloud Giant’s Tower, Autumn
Since I have nothing better to do, being all cooped up in this tower with people I don’t necessarily like, I figured I should recall what happened once we went into this tower. I was excited and exhausted from Highharvesttide so I kind of skipped some details.
Anyway, nothing prepared me for what we found inside yesterday. Some omnipotent cloud giant named Zephyros was apparently told to meet us here and help us. Somehow. By voices. He is not sure what he can and can’t do and has offered to take us somewhere.
I of course immediately wanted out as I said…and then he started talking about “The Ordening”.
This had my attention.
There is something brewing amongst the giants, their hierarchy is crumbling and there is what seems to be the very beginning of a destructive war between the Giants and the world. Carrion had to talk me down as I didn’t want anything to do with a Giant helping us, but I could not deny the information and how helpful it would be to be transported. We decided to go to Bryn Shander…a month in this tower which would have taken us several on foot. I pray to Sylvanus that we are kept safe and are on the right track.

Bradok Journal Entry #8
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Dwarven fighter, Bradok:
I was only supposed to take my goods to Daggerford. That was the simplest task I had ever been given. Rallo knew the way, he had been there plenty of times before. That might have been my first mistake. I allowed my mind to wander and in a flash I found myself and my cart on the side of the road having almost run over some damnable old wizard. The old fool wouldn’t stop yammering about being in his way. That argument turned into another discussion with two other travelers. A druid and a cleric of some kind. Before long there was the young inn keep with the missing boy and in no time I found myself helping the other three, look for the boy. That was weeks and weeks ago. Now I find myself in the flying tower of a sky giant headed to Bryn Shander. Bryn Shander of all places! I’ve no idea what comes next but I do wish to see it resolved shortly. There is some great sundering amongst the giants and that's led to some turmoil in the north. I suppose it’s better that I am here than someone else less apt for the task. Without me these wholly unprepared people wouldn’t have survived the town of Nightstone. One of them, the elf Bravoquarx, actually charged forward in front of some of the riders attacking the town.

Bravoquarx Journal Entry #6
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Elven wizard, Bravoquarx:
We found a FLOATING CASTLE well, rather, one found us! Zeffyreffy! A Giant! See? They're good! Zeffyreffy found us, and told us about something that's making some of the Giants go bad, that's what attacked the city! See? It's not Giant's nature, something made them do it! Yes yes! Something outside of the norm. Yes. He's got so many books! Oh yes, magic books, a magic castle! Well, yes this is a wondrous adventure! He's teaching me some things, some things I feel like I vaguely remember, it's tough to recall, this is going to take some time, yes. But, all things do! We're off to investigate the Ord-... Orden-something. It's wrong, and we have to figure it out. Yes. Off to Bryme Shade!

Carrion Journal Entry #9
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Human druid, Carrion:
Written in Druidic
After rescuing the townsfolk we spent a few days living among them, helping them rebuild. I say we, but I mean to exclude Bradok. He seemed dead set against helping and was more mindful of leaving as fast as possible. Now, I've no issue with taking from the dead, as is the way in nature, but taking from a town in need? Sure he gave back Morak's gear, but I think that's only because he was caught with it. It just rubs me the wrong way that he walked off with whatever he pilfered from the keep. With winter on the horizon, they'll need whatever they can scrounge together. I'll have to keep my guard up around up around him. No telling what else he may feel entitled to.
North helped heal the wounded and ended up leading a festival of harvest. Bravo seemed to befriend a Tiefling family in town, something about teaching the boy magic. Truly his compassion is heartwarming. It's also reassuring to see how the other townsfolk treat the family without disdain. Myself, I helped out where I could with their crops. Trying to heal what was damaged and ensure their next harvest would be bountiful.
The brings me to the present. In the past entry I wrote of unbelievable giants in floating castles. As I lay these words to page, I sit in an enormous floating tower, flying far above the land. It's truly remarkable, if unsettling. It seems to be constructed of stone, but sits top a cloud. The tower appeared over Nightstone causing quite the fuss, rightly so. Though no boulders rained from it, stairs did descend to the ground. In what we now know was an action of invitation the stairs themselves moved upwards around the cloud made stairway, one could simply stand on them and be transported.
With much trepidation we mounted the stairs and rode them to the top. Zephyros the giant greeted us. An interesting being, I draw similarities to Bravoquarx. For now we are guests in his tower as we travel to the far north of Brynshander in search of 'The Ordening'.

North Journal Entry #3
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Half-elf cleric, North:
2am Nightstone: The Caves, Highharvesttide Eve
It seemed innocent enough until we began to all go separate ways. We encountered goblins, ogres, and even an ooze! I also grabbed some mushrooms, harmless and always good to keep!
It is very apparent that it will be hard for our group to get along, as Bradok seems to “know” EVERYTHING. Bravo is a scaredy cat who also doesn’t know which way is what. It was just such a mess trying to navigate. Thankfully, we were all able to come together for a moment so that we could save the townspeople and not die in the process. Every single head was accounted for and we all were able to make it back without too much trouble.
Carrion and I did what we could to help them rebuild. We healed their wounded and took a quest to pass on some information. I spoke with the priest and we prayed. Bradok and Bravo went off and did whatever it is they do. We decided we needed to make haste and shouldn’t dawdle too much longer.
It was the very next day that something very odd appeared. A tower was floating and appeared before us. Stairs gently wafted down and sat there waiting.
It was a Cloud Giant’s tower. Even the townsfolk were cowering at the sight of it. I did not want it there, I thought it was for sure going to give us some bad luck. I was ready to fight.
Not Bravo, he wanted to go up the tower. Straight up into the monster’s lair! I admit, I completely lost my temper. Just as I could not fathom foul beasts like giants being remotely civil, he could not understand that giants could be bloodthirsty monsters. After spilling my past and hearing out his, we finally came to a small understanding. It was good to get that off my chest, as there were preparations for Highharvesttide.
I admit, I had fun. It was nostalgic to braid my hair and make sweets. The stories I told were the ones told to me by my dearest Madris. Tonight, the stars will sing me her lullabies.
I asked Sylvanus for some guidance. I do not want to do this but it may be for the good of the world. I prayed, “May I learn to be more open minded and keep my temper down. I pray for safe travels and that the answers will soon reveal themselves to me.”
It is good luck to leave on Highharvesttide however, the balance has certainly shifted. There is something amiss and Carrion and I must find out what it is.

Bravoquarx Journal Entry #5
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Elven wizard, Bravoquarx:
Eleint 28 Well! I've met the most wonderful little Tiefling family! Dancity and Gormm! I'm teaching them magic! How wonderful, yes! The young one, Gormm, I believe his name is, is taking to it quite well. Yes, I'll help these people as best I can by teaching them what I can remember. There's been much talk about Giants attacking this town, Dark Pebble, but surely that can't be the case. Maybe it was something that just looked like Giants? Yes, perhaps the people here got confused, and saw something that just looked like Giants. Or maybe something somewhere is pretending to be Giants when they attack. It surely isn't actually Giants. No, no it's not.
Eleint 28 It might be Giants. I'm beginning to open up to the idea that it could be. But it can't be.
Eleint 29 It’s Giants.

Bravoquarx Journal Entry #4
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Elven wizard, Bravoquarx:
What a day, what a day indeed! That cave was much too much for me. Yes yes, too much, shan't be going in caves like that again! Well, we managed to save the people of Evening Rock, got them all back, probably. There's a lot of danger out here, yes yes, I'll have to be much more careful. These people I'm with, have little to no sense! They run headfirst at danger like it's calling to them sweetly! The dwarf practically welcomes death, looking for it at every turn! If I'm to survive I need to mark where Brandycane is and aim to be as far away from him as I can be! And to cut down a surrendering foe! I cannot believe these people! Have they no honour? Well yes, I suppose, maybe the blood was up, and they got carried away. These things can happen. We're back in town, yes. It's been a long day, Grillion and I need our rest. Yes, goodnight!

Carrion Journal Entry #8
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Human druid, Carrion:
Written in Druidic
I pen this after a day of hectic pursuit, hard fought battles, and a startling discovery. Velrosa didn't survive the giant attack, crushed to death in her own keep- ...I'm getting ahead of myself. After finding the remains of the Lady Velrosa and her surviving entourage, we learned the town had been assaulted by giants. While I struggle to believe such a scenario to be true, the boulders left behind give it a ring of truth. The towns people fled, seeking shelter in a cave system outside of the town. Accompanied by two of the guards and on horseback we rushed to the cave. We rescued the towns people from the clutches of a group of ogres and goblins. I fear the cave will be the source of more troubles in the future. During our exploration we found a section being used to raise the goblin young. They've committed no crime, and so we left them. We did however capture the goblin leader, at Bravo's request, and brought it back to town. He's an odd fellow, that Bravo, but I truly admire his sense of compassion towards all life.

North Journal Entry #2
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Half-elf cleric, North:
Quest: Lady Valrosa 10pm, Eleint
What a few days it has been.
Our next quest has us going to Nightstone as a request from Lady Valrosa. The two travelers we picked up while helping Theo have decided we should stick together as we all were conveniently going in the same direction.
I don’t know what to think of the dwarf, but I do like his donkey. Very sweet and gentle. The wizard seems odd, possibly powerful but definitely can’t remember things to save his life. I wonder what his story is.
Anyhow, not only do we find Nightstone infested with goblins, but the town is completely destroyed. It looked like huge boulders were either thrown or dropped from the sky. They pummeled this poor town to bits. There were very few things left unscathed and that will make this a long road to recovery.
We took all the goblins out reasonably quick in trying to figure out where the townsfolk had gone. When we finally made it to the outpost to answer the call for help, we discovered the bridge had been taken out. There was no way for us to cross the river, the water rushing too quickly, and just as we had begun to despair, Felgalos appears! What a sight to have a dragon help us out. What awaited us inside was not great news. The attack left Lady Valrosa dead. With our quest giver not with us, we decided to help them figure out what was going on.
Talks of giants began. Oh, I can’t stand this. My cheeks flush as I think about it. Of course giants….who else? We got curious as to the whereabouts of the rest of the town as they were all missing and there weren’t bodies to be found. They apparently ran for the hills into the goblin infested caves.
I have a feeling I know where we are headed next.

Bravoquarx Journal Entry #3
From the perspective of the PCs in our D&D game of Storm King’s Thunder, here’s some insight into their experiences. From our Elven wizard, Bravoquarx:
What a day, what a day indeed. Yes, well it would seem that we found our way to uhm, err, Night-something. Rock? No matter, we met a DRAGON! Oh joy! It's been such a very long time since Grillion and I met such a magnificent, wonderful, majestic creature! Thallygallus I believe was it's name. The wonderful dragon helped us greatly! Yes! After ridding the town, bravely, of all the terrible goblins we searched the tower and found no interesting books. Nothing containing any magics or any kind. Well, good I suppose, nothing to fall in the wrong hands, seeing as this town got overrun. Yes well, the search continues! Yes yes, on the morrow! A Dragon! I can't even hardly believe it! Wonderful, absolutely wonderful!
