The pitching of our Business Model Canvas took place on April 14 and 16, 2021. Each group was assigned the task of presenting their BMCs. Every group's presentation went well, and after the presentation, there was a question and answer portion. Our group, Experto Mos Consilium, gave a very nice and unique presentation to our BMC, and we did teamwork before and during the presentation. Gladly we presented well and determined to improve our work.
The Intellectual Rights and Technology Transfer

Dr. Gamaleila A. Dumangcas spoke at the first lecture series on April 22, 2021, and the subject was Intellectual Rights and Technology Transfer.
Intellectual property refers to the mind's inventions. It's the twenty-first century's oil. Intellectual property is how today's men made their money. Intellectual property must be secured, according to Dr. Dumangcas, in order to prevent rivals from copying the trademark, technology, or product. It also aids in the avoidance of ineffective investments. It also aids in the development and enhancement of brand branding, as well as increasing the company's market value.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
Patents
Utility models
Industrial Designs
Trademarks
Copyright and Related Rights
Layout designs
Geographic Indications
Undiscussed Information
New Plant Varieties
A systematic transfer of rights to use new discoveries and technologies arising from scientific research is referred to as technology transfer and commercialization. Often refers to the method by which a university refers to another party and their expertise for the manufacture of a product, the implementation of a process, or the rendering of a service, which may include the transfer, assignment, or licensing of IPRs.
TEAM FORMATION AND FUNDING

Mrs. Keren Happuch Lacadin talked about startups and bringing together the right team on April 28, 2021. Startups, she explained, are business ideas that inspire creativity and solve community problems. Nobody who's ever scaled a business from the ground up that did it alone. In fact, left to themselves, they wouldn't have a business. Here are some reasons why startups fail and the things to do in order to have the right team.
WHY STARTUPS FAIL
No market needed
Ran out of cash
Not the right team
Got outcompeted
THE THINGS TO DO INORDINATE TO HAVE THE RIGHT TEAM
Selective of your peers/co-founder
Strategic in giving roles
Don't get mad or offended if your leadership is questioned by your peers/co-founder.
Another way to create the best team is to have:
Common purpose
Measurable objectives
Balanced Personalities
Clear roles

Experto Mos Consilium
Together with my group mates, we interviewed our target customers for our Venture Proposal. For this interview, we spoke with a total of four customers via the use of Facebook Messenger, we conducted an online interview.
When I conducted social media interviews with random people. Ms. Michelle A. Doon, one of the interviewees, mentioned that she had already purchased a phone case but wanted to have her own design because she felt profoundly grateful when her phone case was customized because she would be using it with sentimental value. Like with her name on it with a simple print of guitar since she is fond on using guitar. She also indicated that sellers would continue to search for an extravagant idea for how to market their product. Make use of innovations when making phone cases as well. Look for prints that appeal to adults as well as teenagers.
Based on the interview of one of my group mates Jovilieza Cabeltes with Ms. Queen, She stated that she started off with a self-introduction and her intent to interview for our Business Venture Proposal. Fortunately, she consented her to conduct an interview and ask her a few questions. After her confirmation, Jov asked the first question "Have you ever purchased a phone case?" she answered that she purchased a phone case twice. Then Jov asked her the second question "Would you rather have your own design for it?" and she replied "Yes, customized designs are the best". We proceeded to our next question which is "What would you feel if you personalize your phone case?" she expressed that she would feel happy and excited for some reasons. "Phone cases that catches your specific favorite designs are awesome. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the phone case if I had to", she continued. After she answered, jov asked her the fourth question: "Do you prefer customized phone case or ready-made?" Ms. Queen emphasized that she likes customized phone cases because it feels special if it is custom-made. We were on the last question in our interview. "What are your suggestion or recommendation if you ever purchased a customized phone case of your preferred design?' Jov asked. She replied that there are artists that customizes phone cases yet they didn't match the customer's liking. She thinks that the artists should research about the design thoroughly and be open-minded to the client's needs and wants. She explained further that the artists should at least be creative and artistic since clients nowadays are picky of their choices and they should satisfy their customer's requests; there are customized cases that are created badly and it crushed the client's expectations. She stated her suggestions in a very particular and practical way that upon reading it, Jov asked her a follow-up question about what are her preferred design for the customized case. She enthusiastically answered that she actually have so many favorite designs and thinks that she would go to a starry night theme or an anime theme specifically any Studio Ghibli collections because she loved how it looks so aesthetic and cute. They were done with their interview and Jov thanked Queen for participating and wished her to have a nice day.
One of the interviewees of my group mate Patrick Buisa, Ken Alvie Bahian have purchased a phone case before and said that she'd love to have a design for it. Having a design for her phone case would make her feel more comfortable using her phone. She would prefer to have a customized phone case rather than ready-made cases. And since she said that she would prefer a customized phone case, she suggested that when purchasing a customized phone case, the seller/designer should ask first the details that she wanted for the design.
Also while Danny Tulibas, one of my group mates conducted a quick interview. One of his interviewees, Cleah Mae Yaman have already purchased a phone case/s before, she wanted her phone case/s to have a design because she's more like an art person. His interviewee wanted phone case/s to be customized compare to ready-made phone case/s. Lastly she suggested/recomended that when the product is finished it should be a good quality of product by polishing the tiny mistakes of the finished product.
The hypothesis that we tested is whether the customers would prefer customized cases or the ready-made one. After the interview, the results found that the customers preferred the customized phone case than the ready-made/factory-made cases. Thus, it is concluded that the product that we are selling can be competitive in the market.
Our company's name was Experto Mos Consilium. However, before coming up with that idea, we tried and considered a number of choices. As we brainstormed with my party, a variety of names were proposed, including Consilio, Diseo, Laraw, Ontwerp, and Experto Mos Consilium. 'Consilio' comes from a latin word that means design and is translated as 'Diseo' in Spanish, 'Laraw' in Cebuano, and 'Ontwerp' in Dutch. Experto Mos Consilium, which translates to "Customize and Design Experts." We chose Experto Mos Consilium as the name of our business venture because we wanted an unique name that would be iconic, so we tried to come up with something that wasn't too popular on the market.
This week's lessons included the importance of good communication between the seller and the customer in order for the seller to fulfill the buyer's desired design. We've also found that there are several aspects of our Venture Proposal that could be improved. We learned a lot from the people we interviewed during our interview. We learned new strategies on how to catch the client's attention as well as their hearts through our artworks based on their favorite designs, and we learned new strategies on how to capture the client's attention as well as their hearts through our artworks based on their preferred designs.

There is a tremendous increase in the advancement of technology in today's generation. In culture, it plays an important role and it makes our lives more comfortable. Perhaps we have used technology in various ways, such as communication, schooling, and even in companies. Entrepreneurs take this opportunity and it is called "Technopreneurship" to use technology in their business. Technopreneurship is derived from the word technology and entrepreneurship. Where there is an entrepreneurship in the field of technology. It is focused on science and technology, it is scalable and impactful.
Technopreneurship, according to Licera (2020), is an act of turning 'something' into a high-value resume by turning good ideas into business projects that rely heavily on the application of human intelligence for practical purposes. Technopreneurship examples include Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Alphabet, Facebook, Visa and so on. It is possible to locate all of these companies in one location called Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley is home to many start-ups and major technology firms. It also has schools that promote technoprenuership for learners.
A start - up is, according to Ken Singer, an act of rebellion. It is a disturbance that indicates a planned shift in the order of things. Grab, uber, paymaya, paypal, lazada and so on are examples of disruptors. For instance, the Uber app allows you to book a car or taxi without any time and keep track of it with GPS. For individuals who are in hurry or miles away from place with a lot of car or taxi, it is less hassle and more convenient. Through technopreneurship there are infinite opportunities, reduced prices, market growth and access to information. Technopreneurship has really changed our lives for the better. Indeed, technopreneurship is amazing!
