this might be a bit of a surprise but russian is my first language. i also speak a little english (i can read quite a lot but i still need to practice speaking)

sometimes i try to learn komi (a finno-ugric language group) ((my exact nationality that is)) and i learned german in school (It's not that I can speak it, I just know some basic phrases)

I also want to learn spanish someday heh

I have a headcanon that whenever Whizzer had a late-night photoshoot and Charlotte was on hospital duty, Marvin and Cordelia would stay up making desserts together. They’d drink wine, listen to ABBA, and gossip—either about the latest celebrity drama or whatever was going on in their apartment building.

Yeaaah I wrote about it before, but here it’s again: Marvin was pretty clearly in love with whizzer romantically, all his heartfelt "do you know all i want is you" and literally a solo song dedicated to his amazement at how much he's in love with whizzer ("what more can i say"), and another song ("Unlikely lovers"), and ooops another one ("What would i do")

And personally i don't see the point in calling characters aromantic who could simply be experiencing doubts about love related to the impossibility of romantic feelings due to their orientation (situation with marvin/trina) or denial of feelings due to internalized homophobia, underlying heteronormativity, desire to control everything and simple self-doubt, although even despite this marvin showed a clear desire to love and be loved (NOT PLATONIC HELP), for example when he asked whizzer "just for a kiss" (situation with marvin/whizzer in act 1 as a whole)

Putting new labels on characters just for the sake of putting them, when both marvin and whizzer clearly love each other both romantically and sexually, just seems really weird.

I would say that we don't judge headcanons here, but when they are very clearly contrary to the plot and the main message, it is not surprising that people have so many questions.

How many romantic songs do you need to say that he’s romantic? Because there’s a lot of them. I understand you want aromantic rep but I’m sorry. Marvin is not that. I’d love to have a conversation about this. Please read the script for in trousers

Every time I see posts like "people need to talk more about whizzer and jason's relationship" I always think the same thing.

Everyone talks about Jason and Whizzer's platonic relationship enough, but why is almost no one talking about Jason and MENDEL's platonic relationship, like seriously, the man went from being a shady psychologist who used the child as an excuse to see Trina and then just a given "son with brains", to actually understanding Jason's feelings, discussing his real-life experiences ("Year of the Child", "Everyone hates his parents"), supporting, albeit not practical, but supporting, which takes several solo lines ("The baseball game") and a painful, touching attempt to explain to the child as gently as possible about the imminent death of a loved one and the need for decisions, while at all costs not pressuring and leaving him the right to choose ("Canceling the Bar Mitzvah")

Mendel isn’t perfect, but he's a character with personal growth who actually cares about Jason. And Jason openly complains to him about the same Trina and Marvin when they don't listen to him, or he listens to Mendel’s advice, or they just behave like silly fools (“Flip me!” “You got it”). Their relationship with each other is what is truly underrated in the fandom.
