atsumu wonders if he will ever find genuine love. yeah, he has thousands of girls swooning at his feet—he is a professional athlete after all, and not to mention a handsome one. but none of them ever like him for him. they see his talent, his looks, his skill, the idea of him, and never seem to look beyond the surface.

he wonders if there’s someone out there that will stay even after he mentions he wants to take it slow, even after he spends all week at the gym, even after he’s beating himself up for losing a game. he’s never had that before—someone who was committed to him. someone who loved him.

that is, of course, until he meets you. he’s instantly drawn to your smile that catches everyone’s eyes and your personality that complements his like no other. he wonders at first if you’ll be like everyone else, everyone else who wanted his stature more than his being.

and of course, you prove him wrong. you’re the one that reminds him to eat when he’s forgotten to, who stays up rewatching his gameplays with him (more specifically, you falling asleep in his lap halfway through), who never fails to attend his games, who reminds him that he is so much more than just a setter. that he’s miya atsumu, and more importantly, he’s your miya atsumu.

and that’s how he knows he found the true love he used to wonder even existed, with you.

VALENTINE’S DAY WITH THEM—

+ ok ok he’s not super big on valentine’s day and lowk thinks it’s pointless

+ bc why does is this day more significant than the rest????

+ again, he’s not a fan of the holiday, but after he overhears you talking to oikawa about how you were excited to be able to have a valentine this year, how could he not want to do everything he could to make it special???

+ whatever iwa does, he puts a lot of effort and consideration into

+ including volleyball and DEFINITELY your relationship

+ so it takes a little while for him to decide on what to do, wanting it to be perfect for you

+ aaaand the day arrives, he had told you the night before to be ready by 6pm, not telling you what to expect

+ he picks you up at 6

+ he greets you with a smile, a kiss on the forehead, and a “happy valentine’s day baby”

+ you give him the gift you made for him and he absolutely loves it <3

+ okay now you guys are driving, you’re still in the dark about the evening’s plans

+ you’re both in the car, catching up on the day’s events while the songs on your guys’ playlist play in the background at a lowish volume

+ you both now arrive at your destination!

+ it’s your favorite café, a small family owned one, and it’s also where you and hajime went on your first date

+ he rented the entire place out as a favor from the owners

+ the place was slightly redecorated to fit the night—it was intimate and inviting

+ you both take your seats, to find the food is already served and iwa had cooked your favorite meal to perfection

+ this man gives off chef level cooking skills to me idk

+ dinner was perfect, filled with reminiscent conversation, laughter, and adoration

+ a romantic night overall and you ended the night watching romance movies back at his place

+ he is a huge romantic you cannot change my mind

—ATSUMU

+ this man is a huge softie okay? okay.

+ very much likes the idea valentine’s day bc it’s another excuse to shower you with affection

+ he wants to make sure you know he loves you a lot

+ he doesn’t do anything too flashy or extravagant

+ despite the attention he gets from being this famous setter, and his outgoing extravagant personality, he likes the relaxed and lowkey dynamic of your relationship

+ not to mention he’s been really busy with practice and you your studies so

+ so you both opt for a cozy night in!

+ he stops by your place with a shit load of snacks, plus onigiri that he asked osamu to teach him how to make

+ and you guys catch up your favorite show to watch together

+ you ended up getting a bit bored and decided to bake and decorate a cake together halfway thru

+ after you’re done, not even 5 minutes after finishing it, this mf starts eating it

+ he also gives you a necklace with his name on it bc YES PLEASE

+ will definitely want to do something for you

+ you’ve been especially stressed with school and responsibilities lately

+ he’ll do anything he can to help, and figures he can make the day special and take your mind off of it and spend quality time together

+ the day is sunny and the perfect weather for an intimate picnic at the park

+ there’s not a lot of other people there, a few people strolling around but besides that, just the two of you

+ this man went alllll out

+ those pretty tiktok picnics? yeah that.

+ i’m thinking he has your favorite flowers laid out in the middle, homemade onigiri, a small cake that’s your favorite flavor, you get it

+ you guys spend your date people watching and spending quality time together

—SUNA

+ he’s kinda known for making sure to capture the moment right

+ so obviously he has a ton of pictures of the two of you

+ all saved in a special album

+ so he printed a shit ton out!!! and put it all into a scrapbook of your memories and dates

+ he made sure it was pretty and looked nice

+ spent a LOT of time on it too

+ each page had pictures of either you both on dates or at school or at home

+ also filled with little momentos like the movie ticket from your first date (yes he took you to the movies)

+ this boy really put his mf soul into it LMAO

+ so the day comes and you guys are at his place

+ some music in the background bc he cannot do without it

+ you two preferred lowkey things when it came to events like this so you were more than happy just spending time with him and cuddling

+ but then he says “hold on babe” and gets up to grab a neatly wrapped square shaped item

+ he hands it to you and it’s not small so you’re like??? what’s this???

+ and there’s a big picture on the cover of the two of you, you remember it’s from the day he first said i love you

+ you were a friend of midoriya’s and he introduced you and bakugo on the first day of school at UA

+ he was being an ass to midoriya (shocker)

+ he acted indifferent to you and wasn’t super friendly so you lowkey thought he had something against you

+ not the best first impression on his part but we’ll forgive him 🤥🤥

+ the initial interaction was short lived as aizawa started the class

+ you two didn’t talk a whole lot but you got to know a bit about his personality as time went on from class

+ you realized you shouldn’t take it personally and that it was just his personality

+ sometime during the year aizawa assigned partner projects... ik u see where i’m going with this

+ he paired you with katsuki!!!!

+ tbh bakugo barely knew who you were, he just remembered seeing you around deku often but didn’t really care

+ you guys decided to work on it at his place and it was a bit awkward at first

+ you spent a bit of time analyzing his room and admiring the details—from his all might figurines to his many superhero books to his large blue dinosaur stuffie sat on the middle of his bed

+ he soon grew oddly comfortable around you

+ you both learned a lot about each other and got pretty close during your sessions together

+ you learned about his family, him being a wayyyy larger fan of all might than you expected, his feelings towards deku and their childhood, the school, his aspirations (both careerwise and not), you get the idea

+ he began to acknowledge you at school and soon after you both occasionally hung out in the same groups

+ even after the project was long over with he still made time for you, reached out, bought snacks, and was affectionate in his own way

+ whenever he felt anxious or stressed he would hit you up and you guys would hang out

+ you became one of the most trusted people in his life and it was all owed to a class project <3

—KIRISHIMA

+ you were walking through the park on a random saturday

+ when some creep came up to you and started bothering you, asking for your number

+ this rando wasn’t planning on taking no for an answer

+ kirishima was nearby and saw what was going on

+ kiri came up to you and the stranger and told the creep to back off and stop harassing people

+ afterwards the creep ran off (after yelling at kirishima like a dumb bitch)

+ you thanked kirishima for helping you out

+ he introduced himself and went on to mention how unmanly that dude was

+ you two hit it off right away

+ he offered to walk you to your destination, which was a local cafe, just in case the guy was still around

+ on the way there you both discovered you both went to UA, he was a second year and you were a first year, which is why you never noticed each other

+ upon arriving at the café he asked for your number (baby was blushing A LOT while doing so)

+ you obliged and he was ECSTATIC

+ you said your goodbyes and he said he’d see you at school

+ both of you were very excited to make a new friend that day

+ you two texted often and at school he’d introduce you to his friends and you naturally became a part of the group

+ shoto is a pretty smart dude (he was ranked like sixth in the class right?)

+ you were struggling with a few subjects (calc is difficult OKAY????)

+ midterms were coming up and aizawa mentioned that those who didn’t do well were going to have to take a bunch of summer classes

+ okay i’m going to be honest rn i’m not totally sure how schools work in japan so please correct me if i’m wrong abt something/work with me here

+ ANYWAYS

+ you didn’t want to fail because .... i mean who WANTS to 😐😐😐

+ so you were talking to ochaco and she told you about how todoroki tutored her for the previous exam and helped a lot!

+ thus pushing you to ask him to tutor yourself

+ shoto and you have been in the same class for a while but never really crossed paths

+ i mean, he’s endeavor’s son, powerful, smart, aND ATTRACTIVE so... dare i say he’s a little intimidating to begin with

+ ok so

+ ochaco introduced you two n he agreed to help you out woooooooo

+ you guys would study together at the library later that day

+ okay you were a little nervous bc you two never really talked before

+ so it was a little awkward at first bc babyboy isn’t the most social person out there

+ but when the time arrived to study together

+ this mans knew SO much

+ and he explained all the concepts and methods so well, you instantly started to understand

+ so you guys have a few study sessions together leading up to midterms

+ at this point DAMNN you understand this shit so well you could probably teach it

+ midterms come around and you get high scores!!!! YES GO YOU SMART ASS BITCH

+ you tell todoroki abt your score and thank him for tutoring you
