This is an incomplete rip. This post does not contain every asset from Joey's room, nor am I posting it in it's full resolution. Some of these backgrounds are missing pieces that are usually rendered on top of the background.

ive noticed that ghb in this looks kind of young but he's still like. huge grand sized. is this him long before his appearance in the webcomic?

Yep. If you play his route you learn he's fairly young still, tho it 's been a few years since I played so my memory is fuzzy on like HOW young. But given I labeled him GHB in the rips, he must already have the title.

Have you decided to stop ripping Friendsim 2 assets? It would be a shame since Studio June seems to have radio silence on if they'll even release them fully.

i have permission to rip and upload them, it's just that ripping hasn't been a priority for me for awhile.

wrt images too big for tumblr compression, why not put them on the spriters resource? cant imagine it compresses stuff since its whole purpose is easy access to sprites ripped from video games and lowering the quality is kinda antithetical to that

Man... You're absolutely right. Guess I figured they NEEDED to be viewable without downloading. I'll see about getting that done relatively soon. Hopefully I don't forget.

if you don't mind my asking... how do you rip backgrounds from the game? especially at a high quality? i would like the backgrounds from dammek's hive in high quality but i went through the game files and have no idea how to find them :(

I use the Unity Asset Studio to open up the game's files and start exporting all the assets. Unfortunately all the backgrounds have TONS of individual image files that make them up and I never found a good way to make them widely available to everyone. Plus the backgrounds are too HD for tumblr compression.

I'm so glad I found this blog! I was hoping for the Friendsim 2 sprites, but I couldn't find any anywhere. Can't wait for more of them to come out, Thank you for doing this!

Making homestuck content and frustrated trying to find the right colours? Tired of trying to select the hexcode displayed in the smallest font possible? Or going diffrent places to find codes for character text colours, aspect colours and blood colours? Frustrated about how there are at least 2 varients for everything I just listed, both from other homestuck media and within the comic itself?

Homestuck Hex Codes (hs-hexes) is a tool for easily finding and copying any significant colour found in homestuck. Every colour is sorted into expandable groups, and each colour can be quickly copied to your clipboard in one click, so no more fiddling with tiny text surrounded by giant whitespace. Colour groups include:

Where did the controller button prompts come from?

That is actually a very fun answer. I learned it recently from this video.

I just learned that the controller button prompts used in Hiveswap came from a widely used, public domain set of prompts, and weren't actually made by What Pumpkin, so I deleted the rip of them from here.

This isn't a bad thing btw, just that a free to use asset like that didn't make sense to post here.
