Re-intro

Heya! We’re the Riptide system, a 15 y/o white-bodied polyfragmented DID system of over 100 alters! We’re introject, protector, and symptom holder heavy! We’ve known we’re a system for slightly under a year now, and a lot of things have changed during that time. We only speak English right now, but we want to learn Japanese, French, and Chinese in the future (I still hate french people BOO FRENCH PEOPLE /j)

We collectively go by Riptide or Rye, and they/them if referring to us plurally, he/they if singular! Our Singletsona ID is transmasc genderqueer + queer + aroacespec. Some of our current frequent fronters are Childe, Venti, Haven, Aether, Tal, and Rosaria.

We’re ND, severely mentally ill, and physically disabled. We’re autistic, schizophrenic, maladaptive daydreamers and have ADHD, OCD, Tourette's, NPD and BPD traits. We also have C-PTSD, major depressive disorder, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, acrophobia, and conduct disorder with limited prosocial emotions. We don’t know what’s wrong physically but are currently waiting for our next doctor’s appointment to start doing labs to try and figure it out.

We’re currently a freshman in highschool, and we’re taking our district’s math class below pre-calc, the name is all fucky but it might be the equivalent of algebra 2 or algebra 3-4 + statistics and geometry, theatre design, art I, graphic design I, and just basic classes otherwise (English, physics, social studies). Our favorite class so far is math & theatre design.

We’re all atheists, agnostic, or pagan. Some of our fictives also believe in source religion, and there may be a few other exceptions. Many of us dislike Christianity due to what I believe to be obvious reasons, and also the fact we’ve had religion focused OCD around Christianity despite not believing the religion. We don’t dislike most Christians, we just have some inherent distrust! Talk about organized religion in general makes us uncomfortable, so please avoid it where possible.

Our political beliefs are all leftist (with shitty exceptions like Luna), but some of us are in different branches of that and most of us are just anti-capitalist. I think Venti, the most political of us, considers vespself a communist, but ly never seems to have the time to research where hy is within that.

Our common introject sources are Genshin Impact (we have almost the full cast I think), MCYT, and our original characters! We also have introjects from various other media and places, such as the introjects of our friends, MHA, and PJO. We also have some song introjects!

1.2 - The forest

The rest of the forest is mostly empty. Saturn's cave is a bit farther in from Sandy's Cottage, and then it's empty for a fair while. The trees start to get bigger as you go in, and according to Saturn, once you get really far, there's this whole fairy village. We don't know if any alters live there or if it's just the fairy NPCs. No one that we know about except Saturn has been back there, so they are currently our only source on it. According to them it's really beautiful though.

More knowledge from Sapnap! There's a river that winds through pretty much this entire layer, and it kinda leads to a cliff where there's a waterfall, a lake, and then more forest! The stream mentioned previously has changed to a river, and the water in it reminds me of the (now removed) hot spring water from the Biomes o' Plenty Minecraft mod! Not warm though, just looks similar.

Sandy's room is upstairs, it being the only thing up there. Most of us don't know what it looks like. To get up, there's a set of stairs to the left of the living room and behind the kitchen space. The upstairs area only goes above the kids room and the chill room.

Outside the cottage in the back, we have a swing set and open area, and then a vegetable garden like the one our grandma had. It looks almost exactly like our nana's backyard actually. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it anymore.

In the living room space we have a fireplace, a couch, some comfy chairs, and a bunch of bookshelves filled with books. Some of them are real books from out here, but to my knowledge, some of them are filled with information about our special interests and hyperfixations. The image below is pretty accurate for the layout, but Sandy's cottage is kinda a light academia themed, so the walls are are actually cream colored bricks (with some color variation between them), and everything else kind fits into that theme better.

Also in the living room space, there's the kitchen. It's a pretty generic kitchen to be entirely honest, but there is a big pantry that's always stocked with whatever we need.

The playroom literally just has a bunch of toys, usually stuff we found comfort in as a kid. Most of the toys are LEGO, Playmobil, stuffed animals, toy cars, and coloring books. There's also a stim toy box in here for Parker. There's one small area that's a calm space, filled with pillows, blankets, stuffies, and pink lighting. It's darker in there, as we like it dark to calm down from sensory overload.

The chill room is kinda indescribable, but it's space themed!! The whole room is dark colors, mostly dark blue and purple. There are a bunch of comfy chairs and seats in here, along with blankets, stuffed animals, and the one TV we're allowed to have. It's also got a ton of warm yellow fairy lights, some of which are star shaped. Rowan, Aether, Berry, Wilbur, and Saturn are allowed in here unaccompanied.

1.1 - Sandy's glade

Sandy's glade is where Sandy's cottage sits, it's somewhat between the outer and middle. There's a stream running through the area, and it's surrounded by a somewhat overgrown garden. I honestly could not find an image to describe it, but if you have the old Minecraft construction handbook, the 'community builds' cottage in there is similar but smaller. Inside the cottage, there are several rooms. The living room and kitchen area, the 'kids' bedroom, the playroom, the chill corner, and Sandy's room.

The kids bedroom is the room that everyone in the cottage except Sandy stays in. It has 6 full beds, kinda like bunkbeds but they're built into the wall. They have curtains for privacy, some cabinets ,a shelf, and if you're on the outside wall it has a window. Aether, Rowan, Berry, Parker, and sometimes Saturn, Wilbur, and Klee stay here. Everyone's bed has their own blankets.

1 - Floating Island

This layer would be considered the main layer of our headspace. It's likely not the largest, but it is the original one we had to our knowledge, aside from possibly Ghost's forest, although that layer may just be a completely separate area of this layer. This layer has 3 main areas, the forest, the fields, and the corner. In the forest, there's the outer, the middle, the deep, and Sandy's glade. In the fields, there's the village and Eli's manor.

This layer is the most explored out of all 5, us knowing a lot about it. It formed before we were in 3rd grade, as many of us have memories of it from when we were in 3rd grade and before.

These names are mostly joking, The City is actually what we call that layer though. We can travel between layers, and they are not side systems. The layers are just separate inner worlds that have no 'direct' connection.
