18-19 years old when she meets the turtles. (after the movie When Raph is around 19), but the setting of the comic in my brain she's around 40~

Meets the turtles as a human, and gets mutated into a Black footed cat mutant!

moved to New york from the Midwest to escape an abusive home situation. She and her twin were the eldest and as the only sister she was forced to help raise her other siblings as well as dealt with the classic male child favoritism. Her move was funded by earning a full scholarship to one of the colleges nearby, as she tried to be the 'perfect daughter' and achieving top marks in her class. She used the scholarship as an excuse to escape her family after the traumatic death of her twin.

She works as guide at the zoo and meets the turtles by almost getting killed by a living curse which then latches itself onto her. Was originally being monitored for her injuries, but befriends the Hamatos as both a thanks for helping her, and by asking for training to defend herself. Over the years she both graduates College + and gets to join the zoo's conservation efforts. She was trying to make something to reverse mutation in those severely affected, as those who are mutated had their lives upended and had severe effects on their mental health, was trying to reverse engineer the mutagen, which backfired when she accidentally brought the mutagen to work, mutating herself and one of the zoo animals.

Jessie Isolated herself for weeks, using her new powers as a mutant to avoid having people look for her. She opens up more about her situation after being found by Raph and April, and is eventually coaxed out of hiding. For both time reasons, and the fact I want to maybe do something with her one day im going to explain the rest quick : Raph and her grow close and start dating and eventually get married, having a set of twins which brings back painful memories. The curse imparted onto her gets worse, and after an incident where her arm had to be amputated to abate the curse and an accident with her son Claude, she runs away. Because of her state of health, she was assumed dead. They find and rescue her years later, her curse and her memories having being locked in an attempt to cure herself.

Early on Jessie was insecure, anxious, and a perfectionist- who had a heart of gold and a wholehearted love for animals. Later on she mellows out, becoming more self assured by finding herself throughout her years with the family. She's kind, confident and independent- but still struggled with allowing others to help her with her problems and tends to run from them.

Hiii! blog's still a wip, but I wanted to post my Rise ocs! ^^

Old art and some stuff has changed but. since they're all a year + old ocs.

Pictured in order are Claude and Frankie, twins named after Claude Monet and Lisa Frank. Jessie, their mother who is a Black-footed cat mutant. And two of the villains, Karma and Polly. Putting these out as a bit of a semi-introduction because I need a bit to get back into the swing of things!
