I absolutely reference frames from the show for the panels as I want this comic to feel as close as possible to the source material. However, my panels end up having many references, not just one single shot. For instance, for the frame I'm working on right now, there's *counts* 9 Rise image references, a live photo reference, and a picture of a slice of cake as a reference, lol.

But I can say that not every frame can/will have a Rise reference. The comic is still in the early stages, but there will be several different “types” of frames. The frames for basic storytelling (like right now) can be closest to show. However, there will be “Modeling Shoots” and “Selfie Shots.” Those frames are more my personal style. And whether you know it or not, you’ve already seen a basic example of a "modeling shoot" frame 😉:

So yeah, those frame types (plus some future story beats that just logistically can't be referenced using the show) will be more unique. However, I must note that those frames do take me MUCH longer to produce.

(If I remember correctly, this cover art took about a month to paint digitally.)

So, it’s about striking a balance! I want this cool story to be told, for the writing and art to resemble Rise, and for A RISE SEASON THREE! (Even if I have to make it myself!!!! 😫😡...But I digress.) Thanks again. 😁💜

Absolutely! I really do believe that the writers were actually going to put Don in the fashion world someway somehow if the show continued. Maybe not onscreen, but implied as apart of his future endevours. 👍

This is a lighthearted silly thought but qhen I first read the DonTF au, I don't know why but I read it as "Don The F*** au" and I can't--

I do love the series though!! It's only just begun and I'm so so excited to see more of this concept. ^^

Riiiiight! LOL I get it. The short hand for this series is a hard one because the initials are "DtF" and that means something else. 😅

Sooo I've settled on calling it the "DonTF AU" for now. *shrugs* 😋 And thank you so much! I have a lot more story that I am excited to tell. 😁💜

Not yet. He'd focus on creating his brand and making his mark in the industry with his out-of-the-box innovations in textiling and cornering the market on said industries. So....maybe later, lol.

It's still very early in the comics, so not at this time.

Wait would Don support AI from the perspective of art and such??

He would support AI in the idea of it assisting the sciences, mechanics, and for operating machinery. As for the arts, he believes that art is something that can only fully be expressed by someone with a consciousness. In summary, he would see AI in art as a tool to be used by an artist, like a paintbrush or photo-editing software. But art that is created only through AI is an oxymoron, as "true art is an expression of the soul, crafted through the algorithms of creativity." or something like that. 😂 Thanks for the ask. 💜

Aww! I can't speak on that yet, as it's still too early in the story.

But, although it won't be for a while, if everything goes as planned there will be a point where OC's will be able to be a part of the "Don the Fashionista" Universe.
