I would suggest rethinking having slaves be playable on your site, or even present in any way. If this rp is in an original world, there's no reason why you should have to emulate the most disturbing facets of our own for the purpose of rp.

To be fair, I was mostly listing social classes of societal norm in medieval (and even surrounding) time periods. 

Howbeit: The vast majority of even original works of fantasy (be they roleplays or literature) feature slavery as a common theme in medieval-esque worlds. -- In more ways than anyone who was not alive during a time (or in a place) where it is/was common, one can only imagine how much of a core part of societal function they truly were/are.

Am I condoning it simply through mentioning it? No. My modern brain recognizes, and is thoroughly disgusted by, the potential horrors (that, again, I can only imagine based on things such as research and -- most often -- second hand accountings) that these people went/go through.

That said: I can completely understand where you (or anyone else who may share these feelings) are coming from, and I will give serious consideration to nixing them as a whole from the world, or at the very least providing A) a place where they do not exist at all and B) a set up for potentially abolishing slavery all together in the world. -- It is, after all, an original world, and we would all like to think that original worlds would all be better than our own. (Especially in the realm of roleplay.)

Rise To Glory is an upcoming myth-based fantasy roleplay set roughly in the medieval era of an original world.

I am currently seeking staff to assist with world-building and other bits of site development. Ideally I would like to fill 2-3 co-admin positions before closing this staff search. 

Basics:

Thus far the basic concept behind Rise To Glory focuses on two kingdoms that rely on one another for trade purposes, and the delicate balance between allies and enemies. Influence of this will extend beyond the political dances of the royals and nobles and into the realms of their gods. (Think of the concept of ‘as above so below’. E.g.: If the pantheons are at war, chances are the kingdoms will enter into war.)

Players will have the option to play ‘hero’ and/or demi-god type characters (though with the exception of demi-gods, humans will be the only playable species on the site) though the perks of these types are not fully hashed out as currently stands. 

Royalty, nobility, commoners, etc will all be playable social classes.

25 year old CIS-female living in the CST (U.S.) time zone, 13+ years in roleplay, dabbles in graphics and coding (won’t claim to be any good at either), and has a passion for world-building. -- I’m a pretty open book. I always put in the effort to be friendly, though I will admit that I’m a little bit socially awkward when it comes to addressing new people for the first time. Most days my personality leans towards sarcastic and goofy, and sometimes I can get a little..over-excited when it comes to hashing out ideas.
