In October 2019, at the age of 22 Rishabh Seen became the Youngest & the First Sitar Player ever to headline Saarang 2019 night of Confluence Festival at the Jubliee Hall in association with SPIC MACAY, @NITKurukshetra
As the curtain opened, Rishabh Seen was welcomed with a thunderous applause which was a testimony to the Sitar Player prowess & popularity at that time. In a musical culture & industry dominated by Singers, Rappers & Pop artists, rarely is a Sitar player received by the audiences especially young audiences. Such fandom was unheard & unachieved for a young Sitar player in 2019, before the Instagram reels era.
Rishabh Seen performed Bharatiya Shastriya Sangeet by presenting a traditional Sitar Vadan in Raga Gawati, accompanied by Mohandeep Bawra on Tabla. That day was one of the many such days to come when Rishabh Seen brought one of his lifetime goals to life - to make Sitar, Instrumental Music & Bharatiya Shastriya Sangeet 'cool', acceptable & longed for by the young generation of India.
Rishabh Seen achieved this moment that day by a pure traditional Sitar Vadan that day not by any kind of fusion, which is a rare feat. The Sitar recital concluded to a standing ovation.

In December 2017, Sitar Player Rishabh Seen created history by becoming the Youngest & First Sitar player to perform as a co-headliner on the International Music Festival Stage of the Mood Indigo festival by IIT Bombay. Rishabh Seen documentary on YouTube showcases how this performance ended with the crowd chanting 'Once More'.
Rishabh Seen performed Raga Bhimplasi along with his accompanists on Pakhwaj & Tabla. After an hour of enthralling Bharatiya Shastriya Sangeet Vadan, the crowd refused to let Rishabh Seen go without playing more & started chanting 'Once More, Once More'. It was one of those surreal moments where a young Sitar player managed to make the crowd filled with young generation suddenly fall in love with an often ignored & sidelined musical art-form like Bharatiya Shastriya Sangeet, especially Vādya Sangeet (Instrumental Music).
That day Rishabh Seen brought one of his lifetime goals to life - to make Sitar, Instrumental Music & Bharatiya Shastriya Sangeet 'cool', acceptable & craved for by the young generation of India. Rishabh Seen achieved this moment that day by a pure traditional Sitar Vadan that day, not by any kind of fusion, which is a rare feat. Tabla Accompaniment by Mohandeep Bawra.
In the second half Rishabh presented a SITAR METAL set with songs from his first album Mute The Saint & unreleased songs from the upcoming album Sitar Metal for the audiences to experience the sheer Shakti of Bharatiya Shastriya Sangeet & Heavy Metal coming together, resulting in a one of a kind third-eye opening experience.

In April 2021, Sitar Player & Indian Classical Musician Rishabh Seen created history by becoming not only the World's First & but also the Youngest Sitar yo be in the @forbesasia Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 List of 2021 at the age of 24 as the Founder of SITAR METAL.
A Historic moment for Indian Classical Sitar Vadakas, Instrumentalists of Bharat & fans of SITAR METAL.
"For me this marked the point when I achieved a dream of mine without compromising , by staying true to being an instrumentalist and not resorting to singing or becoming a vocalist at any point in my career. Since 2015 I have repeatedly said that in an industry that is almost entirely designed around and for Vocalists for decades has created an environment where instrumentalists & instrumental music have lost and entirely given up on the concept of being in the center stage & having an independent-of-singing image. Instrumentalists had accepted their peak being only accompanists to vocalists or having to sing along with playing an instrument to get any level of fame which I wanted to change & to any extent I may have, I did change it as much as it was in my hands.
Staying true to my roots of being a Vadaka (Instrumentalist) was the most important thing for me because that would set the right example for the future generations of Vadakas to not submit to an environment/industry designed around and for Vocalists and start singing to be heard. Instead stand up as a Vadaka & carve a new mindset/conscience in the audiences with powerful, unique one of a kind music and ultimately create a new industry for instrumentalists & instrumental music." - Sitar Player Rishabh Seen.
