Went and saw Revenge of the Sith today and my mind was just a track of:
I love this stupid gorgeous corny fucking movie
What would have happened if we just killed this guy right now
We should kill this guy right now
Yeah you guys definitely don’t see them as people
Corny fucking space opera I love you
Maybe I’d be okay with living on Coruscant
I must not fall for the Coruscant propaganda just because it looks pretty doesn’t mean I wouldn’t throw myself off a landing platform after three days without greenery
*spongebob voice* “My friend’s in there!” during every Kashyyyk scene

nothing stays in my brain more than the scene of ordo and kal rescuing vau from the ice, and kal commenting on vau smiling (Vau actually smiled. He didn't do that often.), noticing vau's straight teeth, vau actually LAUGHING when giving kal the stuff he'd stolen, kal questioning why he's here to rescue vau but never actually abandoning him, etc etc. two guys who are neither friends nor direct enemies but a secret third thing: existing in the same unfortunate circumstances.

A couple of weeks ago, I read this fic by @bardan-jusik aka verpineshutterrifle. To quote their summary: "Falin/Kal on Surcaris, and Munin finding him, mostly feral." The fic is really good, big recommendation.
Anyway, it inspired me to doodle the scene in which Munin Skirata finds little Kal/Falin Mattran, who had been surviving on his own for about one year.
Somehow, things escalated, and the quick doodle became a full-on painting project.
Painting this brought up questions I never thought about, like "What did Munin Skirata actually look like, other than having green armour?"
I did the outlines for both Falin and Munin with traditional ink, everything else is done with Krita. I'm still not fully happy with some bits of the picture, but for this being the second thing I have ever done in Krita, and also for me not having a tablet and thus having to work with my mouse, I think it turned out alright.

I can’t get over how much Echo and Rex love each other. The bond between them. The way they keep pulling back to one another as if their stories are intertwined, orbiting each other. How much belief and loyalty and trust is between them. It warms my heart to think of how much their bond means to them. How Rex went back for Echo, how he felt it in his bones that Echo was alive. How Echo didn’t blame Rex for leaving him behind at The Citadel.
When Echo needed him Rex wouldn’t give up, even when no one else believed Echo was alive and Echo returns that favor by coming when Rex calls and never once turning him down when he’s in need.
They love each other so much.

is it easy to get into blood feuds as a hobby? already have experience in revenge killings and blindly lashing out at perceived wrongs
it's literally the easiest you just gotta do something wretched and lower than even the worms

I get why kt didnt take a lot of time to explore the nulls psychologically just cause she had other priorities and probably made the executive decision to not get into it bc of the research required but ohhh my god I wish there was more of that kind of content on them. 6 of the most lethal capable clones in the entire gar with the small asterisk of them all having intense personality disorders. and this completely voids their worth as tactical product to the systems they live under. WHAT
#dsm-5 more like dsm-6#it not being explored in depth within the text is unfortunate but it does mean the task is left in the most capable hands:#mfs on the internet with some screws loose#the world is our oyster#their minds? our pearl
