i still think one of tumblr's darkest moments (much worse than anything i've seen before and i have been here since 2011) was when random fandom bloggers started doing confidently accusing people living through a genocide of being scammers. i think there's a lot that has happened on this website but the juxtaposition of running something so trivial as a fandom blog (i have been in fandom for a long time and triviality here is not an insult but an understanding of what makes it light) while doing something so enormously heavy and dark has me reeling

I don't know how long this situation, this suffering, and this injustice will continue. We will never live. We die, not a slow death, but a quick death. But we are waiting for our turn. This is real. We are waiting for our turn to die. Every day, hundreds of people die in brutal and horrific ways. You all see this horrific death and these horrific scenes. Is it possible that these scenes do not move your conscience even a little? We are suffering, we are suffering, we are suffering from the horrors of this war. What is our fault in all this? What is my fault and the fault of my family? We want to live. We do not want to go to sleep and wake up afraid and hungry. We want to sleep in peace, quiet, and comfort. We truly want life, no food, no water, no shelter, no quiet, and the fear of death every minute. How long will our situation continue like this? I want to ask you for one small thing. My family and I are suffering. We want you to help us with anything, even if it is just sharing. It helps, and a donation helps us a lot. Believe me, your donation makes a big difference. Let me eat even one simple meal a day. Think about what I'm going through for a few seconds. "Sichuan peppers," the dried fruits of the genus Zanthoxylum. Related to neither black peppers nor capsicums, but part of the same family as citrus.
